Wasn't happy with my drawing of Will Ferrell for the Caricature Resolution, so I did another quick drawing of him again today.

American actor Will Ferrell -- or his doppelganger, complete with Southern Cal visor -- hangs out at a cafe in Florence's Piazza dei Pitti on a hot Sunday afternoon, June 16. (In deference to letting Will chill, Katie opted to forgo going over to be a fan -- despite being sorely tempted.)
I have been doing a lot of laundry and finding T-shirt gems like this one.
Will Ferrell in an afro and tight-fitting velour shirt gets me every time. And Christopher Walken? Awesome. :) One of the best SNL skits EVER.

***WARNING***SPOILER ALERT!!!********************************
If you have not seen this movie, and also want to love this movie, you might want to see it before reading this review.
I really wanted to like this movie more than I did. I think it suffered from "interesting concept syndrome", and the plot kind of got in the way. You didn't know who to root for and you weren't sure exactly what was real. Also, as is so often the case, you didn't quite believe the love story aspect. Don't get me wrong, I love Will Ferrell - and I love Maggie Gyllenhaal. Just not so much them together, in love.
Will's character I also found too dull to care about, which is part of the interesting concept thing. I imagine the writer thinking, "what if I had the main character of a novel meet the author - and they were real?" When they perhaps should have been more concerned with you liking and caring about the main character of the film - not that you didn't like him, he was just so devoid of any emotion or ambition or human spark or anything for most of the movie, that you just weren't in it. Then when suddenly faced with death, he begins to fill out that suit (and shed it altogether) you're so far out of the film that you just kind of want to see him die just to see something that feels real. And I won't totally spoil it for you on that one - if you still want to see it.
Now I don't want to say here that I totally hated the movie, I did enjoy it, but I was simultaneously very disappointed with it, so I don't know what that is. I think many people will enjoy this film, but I tend to be pretty picky, and very hard on films in general. If you like Will Ferrell, I would see it. If you only like wacky Will Ferrell, then don't see it, and especially don't see any movies in a theatre I am in ever again and laugh and talk at inappropriate moments (you know who you are - damn kids!)
It did have a kickass soundtrack though.
