Just a view I happened to like exploring White Sands National Park in New Mexico. At 100+ deg F there hasn't been too much exploring but almost every evening the clouds move in and flatten out the light. Not much sliding here but did add a Lenabem-Anna texture to blend in with the grain and a bit of color shifting but not too much mostly to darken the mountains.

The White-eared Puffbird is a resident of tropical deciduous forest and gallery forest from eastern Peru and central Brazil south to Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. The White-eared Puffbird has a dark brown crown, white collar, rufous-brown upperparts, white underparts and a conspicuous dark brown patch on the bird's lower ear coverts. The White-eared Puffbird still-hunts from mid-level perches in trees and shrubs, and will take a wide range of prey, from insects to reptiles to crabs. These birds have one of the most southerly distributions of any species of puffbird; there is some evidence that the southernmost populations of White-eared Puffbird are migratory. White-eared Puffbirds have also been observed to lower their body temperatures and enter into torpor during cool weather. Wild - Picture taken at Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra.

Wikipedia: The white-crowned sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys) is a species of passerine bird native to North America. A medium-sized member of the New World sparrow family, this species is marked by a grey face and black and white streaking on the upper head. It breeds in brushy areas in the taiga and tundra of the northernmost parts of the continent and in the Rocky Mountains and Pacific coast. While southerly populations in the Rocky Mountains and coast are largely resident, the breeding populations of the northerly part of its range are migratory and can be found as wintering or passage visitors through most of North America south to central Mexico.
Conservation status: Least Concern
