A visit in the Mercedes-Benz Museum
a white fronted bee eater (merops albicollis).
this kind of bee eater con be found in south africa all the year around.it's a lovely bird and in some areas quite common.
in photography the hardest part is in this case to get the details of the white front.the whites are very easy to be "fired" especially in canon.take care on exposure!

It was exciting to capture the first marbled white of the year near home last night - such an elegant butterfly and my favourite after the common blue I think.
Still madly report writing and preparing for the end of term here...short walks out with the camera have been keeping me sane, so please excuse my posting and running this week :(
Not all our daffodils were knocked over by the heavy winds of recent days: our garden is still awash with yellow ... and white, like this daffodil.
It looks a bit 'double' because there is another one standing right behind and I didn't like to cut it off just for the photo.

Ik hoop niet dat ik jullie verveel met al die witte bloesem spam ,
maar als het zover is kan ik er nooit genoeg van krijgen :-))
Aanstaande Zondag maar eens op strooptocht voor de roze bloesems die nu op springen staan,
dus er zit nog een roze bloesem spam aan te komen :-))

This Sunday I will go on a raid for the pink blossoms that are now bursting,
so there is still a pink blossom spam coming :-))
