" Into twilight
Lure you in
White raven
Veiled and dwelling
Let me ask!
Lend me a feather
I will turn it
into white wings ... "

Thank you so much in advance my dear friends for the faves, awards and comments. Forgive me if I cant respond sometimes.
But for sure and 100% I read all your comments and always so grateful for it. Take care my sweet friends. Hugs to all 💞
A sub-species of our UK Pied Wagtails, the White Wagtail can be identified by it's slate-grey back. The adult Pied Wagtail has a darker black back.
I have seen perhaps 4-5 during the 2020/21 owl season but, owing to their elusiveness, have been unable to photograph one in its winter coat since 2019.
Our incorrectly named big hare can weight as much as 9.5 pounds at maximum and has powerful hare back legs. Their bouncing running style with stiff upright posture makes them great to watch in motion, especially in winter white.
And some black : -) Same spot as the previous recent uploads, but a very different atmosphere again.
Happy Monochrome Monday!
These guys are not super common around here so it is a real pleasure to discover one among the regular winter residents like the Golden-Crowned Sparrow and the White-Crowned Sparrow
It was great to spend time photographing these magnificent birds on a recent trip to the Hortobágy region of Hungary.
Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.
The white-crowned sparrow is a species of passerine bird native to North America. A medium-sized member of the American sparrow family, this species is marked by a grey face and black and white streaking on the upper head.
Not all our daffodils were knocked over by the heavy winds of recent days: our garden is still awash with yellow ... and white, like this daffodil.
It looks a bit 'double' because there is another one standing right behind and I didn't like to cut it off just for the photo.
A pretty White-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys) posing on a branch of our Rose of Sharon bush.
