No photo of a Citroën DS on my stream so far, time to correct that omission. But is this an ID or a DS? The wheels are very plain, which might hint at 'ID', but I'm not a Citroën connaisseur - so let's wait for an expert opinion.
Probably Citroën ID, because of the simple hubcaps.

I had a uncle who had one, I rode in it a few times. And even as a small kid I noticed that it wasn't very spacious. But I liked it. Still do. I've seen it twice before the past few weeks, and today I was able to capture it.

On one of my frequent getaway trips to Germany I pictured this ugly thing. I spotted it in the Black Forest. Interesting enough to put up here. For our German guessers a piece of cake, so shhh! I would say - let's see what the other continents make of it.

...but from where? This DAF 33 was destined for an European export market when it left the factory in Born (Limburg) in the Netherlands in 1972. In 2000 it was re-imported. This may be too difficult for overseas guessers, but our European friends should be able to tell which country I am referring to.
I found this car parked in front of a typical Dutch upper middle-class house from the 1920s and 1930s in a commuter town near The Hague. These big houses are very popular now, and when one comes available in the Randstad - the most populated and urbanized part of the country - expect to pay € 600,000 (about $750,000).
DAF 33: 750 cc, 2 cilinder engine, Variomatic (continious variable) transmision using two rubber belts to drive the rear wheels.

One from Dutch and one from American origine. Just a couple of years separate these cars in age, but socially they are worlds apart. Still, they have something in common. What? And what could be the year for the Cadillac, without checking the license plate?

Bare bones? No Minilites or other fancy wheels, but hubcaps. Was the Fulvia just a regular Lancia in a fancy dress, or was it really a small sportscar? I don't know much about Lancias, so maybe somone can tell us more here.

Let's this one to our non-Europen guessers. A small but nice car in its days, with good handling. Only, the manufacturer forgot to add a rear hatch and it took years before that omision was corrected.

I always liked these coupes, until... I looked at my own photo. The greenhouse might be sleek, but it is not a very grateful job to create a swoopy roofline on a stubby car with a beltline that is too high. So, my eyes have been deceived for years by Opel calender plates and advertising photos...
