We have this planter that was over-fertilized and everything tends to grow like gangbusters and stretch and stretch, so we planted a cover crop to hopefully deplete the excess. We figured something like wheatgrass would be good since it's both functional and edible. Turns out, the only organic grass seed that Orchard Supply had was Cat Grass. It's exactly what we needed, so I got some. Nothing says people can't eat it too!

Intermediate wheatgrass is one of the most abundant grasses in the Boise area, including in the Boise foothills area, not just here in the Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve. It seems to be used commonly to restore burned rangeland (instead of crested wheatgrass?).
