The next day, roots started to emerge from the small wheat seeds. You have to keep these fellows moist at all time. I achieve this by misting them every day.
Pseudoroegneria spicata or Agropyron spicatum, bluebunch wheatgrass, is most abundant on the upland sites of the Crazy D Ranch, southeast of Melville, Sweet Grass County, Montana.

Interesting form of Agropyron cristatum. The spike is short (probably stunted by excessive grazing), the rachis is in compact zig-zag and densely hairy.
