I was so curious as this looked like catnip to me. But I couldn't see any cats on Six Senses' Soneva Fushi. Turns out people actually drink this 'for health'. I drank it too but I think the brilliant feeling came more from being in this heaven than the tot of bright green

Stand tall, wild wheat! Don't let The Man bring you down!

Agropyron scribneri abundant on the east face of Sundance Pass, Lake Fork, Beartooth Mountains, Carbon County, Montana. Widely ascending flowering stems, long-awned glumes, one spikelet per node, and flowering head shattering at seed maturity distinguish this alpine wheatgrass species.

Introduced grass for erosion control, doesn't seem to do a very good job of it since it forms bunches and does not spread, a requirement in arid climates where most erosion occurs by violent rainstorms or windstorms.

The Silver Brocade started as a single plant 10 years ago when I started this bed. It is another highly invasive grower - and has been trimmed (yanked!) back several times. The yellow loosetrife (red leafed) is supposed to be taller, but seems to stay at this height.

The white irises were supposed to be two toned purple (someone goofed) and since I now have two good sized patches of this colour variation, this one is getting yanked!

Trying out tablescape for Liz's wedding.
