Celebrating 4 years of bunny slavery. By buying them 2 separate 1/2 pallets of wheatgrass, of course. The wheat grass lady at the farmers' market asked why we wanted 2 separate pallets so I had to explain about our kids, the rabbits. :)
Also trying to have some nice associations instead of aggressive associations. Also, the old newspaper was quite popular as well.
but today I thought I would try another Pines' product, #MightyGreens. I have always taken my Pines #wheatgrass straight in water, and I like it that way, but I know many people add it to juice or smoothies.
Even though Pines' Mighty Greens has been a popular #greenfood for about 25 years, I decided to give it a try today. I can't imagine why anyone couldn't drink it straight up! It tastes perfect! Pines adds stevia to this blend of wheat grass, alfalfa and hemp protein for a delicious drink just the way it is, but you could also mix it with #smoothies or #juice.
I like having the alfalfa in it, especially knowing that Pines' #alfalfa is the only #NonGMOProject Verified alfalfa on the market! Pines is also the only company to package in special glass bottles with tight seals and oxygen removed to prevent the oxidation and loss of color that occurs with plastic tubs and paper packets.
It is obvious that Pines is an earth-friendly company that cares about quality.

Slender wheatgrass (Elymus trachycaulus syn. Agropyron trachycaulum), Grass family (Poaceae).
Albion Basin, Alta, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah; elevation 2821 m.
We went to a veg friendly cafe in Miami after the race. I had a lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, bean sprout, avocado, hummus and spicy herbal vinaigrette whole wheat pita sandwich and a grasshopper (pineapple juice with a shot of wheatgrass). It was all yummy and very satisfying.
Here we see the hammer mill with the screens in the previous photo removed to show the stainless steel hammers that are used to chop the dried wheatgrass at low temperatures.
Quiet day, but at Crussh something healthy happened at least. A photoshoot was due, but alas not to be.
Chloe and I saved this huge tray of wheatgrass from certain doom during a trip through the Tenderloin. I saved and cultivated it for several weeks until it got a strange variety of white mold.
Much of the sagebrush steppe on the Waterville Plateau has an understory of Agropyron cristatum and Ag. intermedium (crested and intermediate wheatgrass), or has been eradicated to make room for more croplands. In spite of such disturbance to the once native vegetation, Bromus tectorum is relegated to roadsides and there not too abundant.
I am one of 3 artists represented in the exhibition: Salt, distillation of matter at the Touchstones Gallery in Nelson BC. My work consists of a form in the shape of the word Poem, written backwards, in which wheatgrass seeds have been planted. The object is to grow the grass in the gallery and to eventually create a root casting, which will be released from the form and will spell the word Poem with the exposed roots.
The window installation at Roots & Culture - bread medallions and wheatgrass planters. The wheatgrass is 5 short days old at this point - it grows incredibly fast!
Slender wheatgrass (aka Elymus trachycaulus) is common along the ridge of the Bridger Range on steep west and east facing slopes. This site is at the headwaters of Middle Cottonwood Creek just below Saddle Peak.
My fan operates all day long. I turn it off around 4pm. As the weather got warmer, I couldn't stop the mold until I bought the fan. I had to turn it off for this capture as it was blowing the grass around!
Common along the trails of the JMT where disturbance is frequent. The awnless, short-awned, and long-awned forms come and go at all elevations, which suggests they all belong to one species.
Starting growing wheat grass a little over a week ago for the equinox baskets. Much more springy than shredded pink and yellow paper/plastic. She made the felt egg herself.
