A beech tree hedge has built a passage to darker areas in the middle of the forest. The leafs are glowing in wonderful yellow and orange tones. Everywhere around in this woodlands fields of bright light and dark shadows are alternating with one another. A play of light what is in motion all the time, depending on the position of the sun and the cloud situation. Its really worth t just to stay here a while whatching.
Mitten im Wald hat diese Buchenhecke einen Durchgang in dunklere Bereiche gebildet. Die Blätter erstrahlen in einem wundervollen gelb und orange. Überall im Wald wechseln sich hell erleuchtete Bereiche mit dunklen Schatten ab. Ein Lichtspiel, was je nach Sonnenstand und Wolkensituation permanent in Bewegung ist. Es lohnt sich hier einfach mal eine Weile stehen zu bleiben und nur zu beobachten.

Portrait of my partner Simona last summer in Dyrhóley, whatching over the endless Black Sand Beach which never seems to end.
No, we are not inside the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
Reality is a bit less spectacular, it's only the Metro of Copenhagen, somewhat slower than speed of light. But it does look fast when exposing long enough (2.5 seconds in this case).
It's a fantastic train for photographers, as there is no driver, so passengers can whatch through the front- and back-windows.
Had the camera on a table-mini-tripod and the lens hood pressed against the window, plus a jacket wrapped around in order to minimize reflections as much as possible.
Unfortunately the window was not so clean and full of scratches. Even with an open apperture and focus close to infinity I couldn't completely get rid of some spots in the upper left of the frame, but I finally cropped out the worst part and tried to reduce the remaining as much as possible.
Main post processing was white-balance (a lot!), contrast- and saturation-enhancement, cropping and adding some vignetting.

Cyclist riding over the bridge called "Cykelslangen" (bicycle-snake) in Copenhagen.
Actually this is the result of a totally screwed-up panning shot: I wanted to go with 1/30s but had by mistake pre-set 1/2s instead, which is way too long!
Luckily I didn't delete it immediately, because when whatching the pictures at home on the screen, this was the one I liked the most because it has a very creative look, despite (or due to) absolute technical failure.
Also I was quite lucky that there is a brighter line of lights right in front of the headlight, which makes it look as if it was the beam of the bicycle-light.

Lens: Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 85mm f/1.7 from around 1970, converted to Canon EF
Tying a cheap no name 4/0.10 160/0.17 microscope lens. I did notput it on 160mm flange distance. Just on few macro helicoids. So, magnification is a bit less than 4x but it could be used for shooting from hand.

Foto tirada nesta manha de Sábado, quando encontramos esse numeroso bando de saguis, Apesar de ter a simpatia da grande maioria dos cariocas e dos visitantes, serem simpáticos e bonitinhos, eles representam um perigo para o ecossistema de nossas matas.
Os saguis são animais exóticos no Rio de Janeiro, ou seja eles não são naturais desta região do Brasil, chegaram aqui oriundos do nordeste através do trafico de animais silvestre, fugindo ou mesmo sendo soltos pelos seus donos, eles encontraram nas Florestas do Rio um local ideal para se multiplicar, com poucos predadores naturais e muito alimento, sua população cresceu assustadoramente, podemos vê-los basicamente em quase toda a cidade, não se limitando apenas dentro da florestas, muitas vezes vemos correndo pelos fios, nos postes e ate entrando dentro das casas, mas o grande problema destes novos cariocas que inclusive aparecem no filme RIO, são em relação a população de pássaros de nossas florestas que tem seus ninhos vulneráveis ao alcance deste predador invasor.
Passaros como Tie Sangue que por causa do trafico de animais já se encontra em risco de extinção tem mais um inimigo para se preocupar.
A superpopulação de saguis alguns anos atrás na ilha de Paqueta foi tão grave que quase todos os pássaros na ilha desapareceram, fazendo a prefeitura tomar providencia radical como o extermínio e a retirada de todos os micos da ilha, pois sem os pássaros varias pragas como vários tipos de insetos acabaram se multiplicando.
Há vários debates em relação ao controle populacional destes simpáticos macaquinhos, algum tempo atrás a prefeitura estava dando alimento com anticoncepcional, mas não sei como estão as coisas no momento, mas enquanto isto, eles fazem a alegria de muitos turistas pela cidade.

Another cool experience we had was seeing nearly 2 dozen bighorn sheep! We watched them come down the mountainside, closer and closer to us, covering much terrain.
