Underwater framing of freedivers ascending in their streamlined positions in clear, deep blue water. They are wearing wetsuits, masks and fins, typical gear for depth underwater training.
The first freediver wearing a dark wetsuit and long black fins is positioned prominently in the foreground ascending upwards. Further back and slightly to the left, another person in a dark wetsuit is observing and accompanying the first diver.
The water is illuminated by natural light filtering from above, creating a serene underwater scene. Small, scattered fish can be seen in the background, adding to the aquatic environment. Bubbles are visible around them.
A line or rope extends from the surface towards the deeper diver, commonly used in freediving for depth training and safety where divers follow a weighted line to control their descent and ascent.
Freediving involves descending into the water on a single breath, relying on breath-holding abilities and physical endurance. Freedivers use inward control, discipline, and power to descend and resurface.
After reaching a desired depth or distance, the freediver begins their ascent to the surface. This is the resurfacing phase, where they need to carefully manage their ascent and potentially use specific techniques to assist their return to the surface.
Resurfacing is a crucial part of freediving, as it is the point where the diver transitions back to breathing and their body begins to recover from the breath-hold and pressure changes
The sea holds her like a secret.
Cold light, quiet breath,
the rhythm between thought and tide.
She isn’t chasing the next wave,
just floating in the space
where stillness learns to move.

I spotted this rather unusual sight in the harbour at Belfast , Maine in the United States. Not sure what they are doing but my guess its a QAnon training exercise looking for the reptiles that control the planet they could after all be underwater . On the other hand the purpose of these red men could be completely rational
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
This surfer with a head to toe wetsuit for warmth during the winter time hurries to get in the water again at Pacifica, California. His surfboard is well worn from many previous uses.
About an hour later, feeling well wet and bedraggled. May not look it, but this was an absolute blast!!!!!
Well, it is starting to get colder. When the kids start wearing their wetsuits you know winter is on its way.
Spotted at Titlow Park while viewing the Tacoma Narrows bridge over Puget Sound.

When I was 16/17 I came to this beach alot with my friends and brothers, snorkeling and spearfishing. We used to take the train to Sandringham Station and walk the 2km's to the pier at Half Moon Bay.. carrying wetsuits, weight-belts and spearguns.... (we never had a problem getting a seat on the train).
We would usually swim out from the pier to the Cerberus... an old WWI boat beached as a breakwater... where we would dive down and enter through port holes a meter or so underwater. From there we would swim through the half submerged holds before exiting the ocean side to swim out to the far reefs. There were not many fish on the reefs, but every now and then we would catch a decent flathead, flounder or Dusky Morwong. At night we would usually light a fire on the beach and drink beer and cask wine (if we could find someone old enough to buy for us)
Tonight Im off to have dinner and see a band with my brother Glenn and Sister-in-law Linda, before an early start tomorrow.. we are going to try to fly down to Cape Schank...
sits on a large intertidal boulder just off the shore on the north side of Stanley Park
