I was in the water in a wetsuit when it appeared. Had to stop myself screaming as it hopped on my leg.
Marsh frogs are much more closely tied to water than common frogs, and are almost always found either in the water or next to it ready to jump in at the first sign of a predator.
During the breeding season in Spring and Summer, the male frogs advertise with loud bursts of quacking croaks, almost as if they are laughing.
They produce such an impressive sound by inflating two vocal sacs, which push out from each side of their head like giant bubbles (see these on side of head on the image) These air-filled sacks amplify their calls, so they can be heard clearly from some distance away. Once one male starts to call, his neighbours soon join in, until the whole wetland is filled with a chorus of cackling.
About an hour later, feeling well wet and bedraggled. May not look it, but this was an absolute blast!!!!!
Well, it is starting to get colder. When the kids start wearing their wetsuits you know winter is on its way.

This is the subway hike, this hike requires 10 hours of hiking from start to finish, 3 Abseils and at times navigating across slick rock sometimes having no trail to follow. Then once your in the slot canyon there’s only one way to go!
Accompanied with three close friends we navigated our way through this hike. We wore wetsuits for the slot canyon section, at times having to wade through waist and neck deep 40f/4.4c water that had accumulated at the bottom of the slot canyon from rainfall.
Neoprene swimsuit and PVC boots. I'm setting a new fashion trend. Soon everyone will be dressed like this right?
