Westfield Topanga, formerly known as Topanga Plaza, is a 2.1 million square-foot, two-level indoor shopping center located in Canoga Park, California. It is owned by the Westfield Corporation.
Opened February 10, 1964, Topanga Plaza was California's first enclosed shopping mall. A noteworthy feature was the "Rain Fountain" on the south end. It consisted of several circular arrays of vertical monofilament line stretching from the ceiling to a raised landscaped area on the floor. The effect of rain was created by droplets of recirculated glycerine slowly descending along the wetted lines.
In 1992 May Centers, Inc., the original developer, was renamed CenterMark Properties and was sold by parent company May Department Stores in 1993 to a consortium led by Westfield Holdings, Ltd., a predecessor of Westfield Group.
The NBC comedy Parks and Recreation filmed scenes at Westfield Topanga during an episode of the fourth season entitled "Pawnee Rangers.
In September 2015, Westfield launched a major expansion of Westfield Topanga, called The Village at Westfield Topanga. The new open-air shopping destination is located along Topanga Canyon Boulevard, between Westfield Topanga and the Westfield Promenade.
The Dakota & Iowa Railroad's Hawarden based local smashes a small snow drift from a recent storm as it heads south through Westfield, Iowa with ethanol, corn oil, and DDG loads bound for class I interchange at Sioux City. A predominant portion of the D&I's business is hauling rock, cement, and other construction materials for their parent company, L.G. Everist. Since these commodities don't move much during the winter months due to the extremely cold temperatures, this crew is kept busy Monday - Thursday serving customers such as the ethanol plant in Hudson which operates year round.

The domed roof of the Westfield Shopping Centre in San Francisco that holds Bloomingdales department store. I had hoped for a shot from directly below the roof but they had a virtual reality installation in place and you just couldn't get right under this dome.

Auf dem Bild seht ihr keineswegs den Eingang in die Shopping Mall, sondern die Rampe einer dazugehörigen Fahrradgarage, die 1200 Drahteseln Platz bietet.

The Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts sponsored "Westfield Wanderer" trip pauses for a photo stop over the Thrid Level Canal in Hoyloke. This trip ran on both of the Pioneer Valleys branches with the short passenger train.
Pioneer Valley Railroad CF7 2647 leads a cut of empty trash buckets through the woods as they depart Westfield, MA for Holyoke. The train catches a gap of sunlight among the tree shadows as the snow from earlier this morning and the past few days starts to melt in the sunlight. With temperatures still below freezing and more snow to come, this scene would remain relatively unchanged for the following days. I was originally going to ditch this shot when the sun came out due to all the shadows, but as the train took a good hour and a half to depart the sun had time to come up enough to allow for some gaps in the shadows. I'm now quite glad the sun came out! Westfield, MA
