John Berger said in his famous BBC series from 1972 "Ways of seeing" that the most important thing about paintings themselves is that their images are silent, still. The project PLACES WITHOUT NOISE came precisely from this. That the most important about those photographs was that they communicated something totally different from what they represented. These photos were no longer a window that showed me a memory or a moment already lived, otherwise they are an open door to a new and unknown place.

Dear flickr friends, here's a picture of the setup of my band Killbody Tuning, recording our brand new album called "Hello Welcome so far". I'm the drummer of the band.

DAY 4
We have a somewhat schizophrenic attitude towards big infrastructures in general and motorways in particular. A place well connected by roads is a sign of development and economic prosperity. Without these connections we are "isolated". The problem is that these connections occupy a real physical space, and that space can be in front our house. We want to be close to everything, but that nothing comes too close.

Hi everyone!
After more than two years of work, I finally started a crowdfounfing campaign to giving shape to the project PLACES WITHOUT NOISE. It's been a long, but too a intense and exciting time, that has taught me a lot. This project is nothing more than a visual reflection of a journey. How something as mundane as traveling on a highway can open us countless worlds, and how the speed in which we are immersed in our daily life, sometimes does not let us see what we is in front of us. The result of this journey, is a book and an exhibition that I hope to share with you.

well, I'm not into posting things outside my paintings because that's all my gallery is about...
BUT, I got to tell you I play in a postrock swiss band called "When The Light Dies" and we are releasing a new EP to finance our next full lenght album. and with that I sell 3 of my paintings made during the days we recorded these songs...

In something more than 72 hours we have already reached 30% of the total needed to publish the book and make the exhibition. Many thanks to all those who have already supported this project and those who have shared it. Thank you for believing in this a little crazy idea, that I believe can help us to see things around us with other eyes.
I also wanted to thank your feedbacks by email and social networks, I value them a lot. Expressing something in public, an idea, a project, always involves opening your heart and showing it to everyone, something that we make not so often although indeed we should do it habitually.
There is still a long way to go and we still need your help to reach the goal. So I encourage you to enter the PLACES WITHOT NOISE website, if you have not already done it, and to support the project.

The first week from the crowdfounding campaign for the project PLACES WITHOUT NOISE is over and the result is very promising, almost 40% reached!! There are still three weeks left in which you can help me to turn this book and exposition into reality.
