Sunrise Tai Chi, Yishun Neighbourhood Park hilltop, Singapore. In parks and open spaces all over Singapore each morning many locals will practice this ancient Chinese discipline of meditative, gentle movements. Taken from a respectful distance and cropped later. In the background is a Women's Tai Chi group.
The first time I have met the species, but this was a rainy day, and it was too far.

People are still wearing masks and following the social distancing protocol in the park. But it is more important to keep healthy by exercising.. and getting some fresh air.

Spring has returned, but this poor Lomo Color 100 roll was struggling to hold it together. Or maybe my developer was struggling. Or a bit of both. We're all struggling right now, trying to hold on, hold it together.
But this rainbow from last September, when the world didn't see so insane, was a little slice of perfection.
I took one day trip after my ill-fated July excursion. I walked along the banks of Crab Creek and then worked my weary way up into the heights above.
It wasn't meant to be a strenuous hike, but I was exhausted most of the time.
Over the winter, I've tried to keep in some sort of shape. I walk about five miles a day and I assume that's helping.
Next weekend will (likely) be my first day of the year back east. I plan on doing a few smaller hikes/walks mostly to keep warm and wear myself out. But I'm excited to get back. I miss the place when I'm away.
I could have decided to go today, but the weather report called for all clear skies. I'll gamble and wait for some clouds next weekend.
No camping yet, though. If I have to, I'm fine with camping in the low 30s, but if I don't have to (and I don't), I'd rather not.

I met this little group in my park the other day. They are part of Wheels for Wellbeing (wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk/) that provides disabled people with mobility; the gent on the left had had a stroke. The young lady allowed me to have a go on hers & it was wonderful! I quite fancy one!

This was taken on a photoshoot of mine a while back, the 1st one I've done of a new baby but was enjoyable and a great learning experience.
Taken with a Canon 5dmkiii and Canon 100mm macro lens.

The learning center SQUARE is an extension of the campus of the University of St. Gallen (HSG). The university calls the new building an " experimental field " for new formats of learning and teaching, which, when mature, will be integrated into the " normal " HSG education.
Sou Fujimoto Architects, based in Tokyo and Paris, won the architectural competition with its "Open Grid" project. The jury attested it "an excellent interpretation and implementation of the didactic concept". Thanks to numerous major sponsors and donations from HSG alumni, operations could begin in the spring semester of 2022, as planned in the ambitious timetable, after a short construction period of around two years.
The building consists of several cubes arranged in a grid pattern, which range in height from 3.5 to 18.5 meters. Inside, modular building elements that are acoustically and visually connected to each other allow for adaptation to specific didactic needs such as panel discussions, lectures or exams. The new learning center creates space for 500 to 700 learning and workstations.

A free wellbeing support helpline on 0800 069 6222, operated by the Samaritans and available from 7am – 11pm, seven days a week, providing confidential listening from trained professionals. A 24/7 text alternative to the above helpline - NHS staff can simply text FRONTLINE to 85258.
Most of us don't understand the strain Coronavirus has put on the NHS (and health providers world wide), remember the NHS isn't just an organisation its real people. People with all of the normal day to day worries and concerns just like you and me - that have been thrust into the front line were more British people have died than in all of the armed conflicts since word war II added together.

The theme this year was ' Health and Wellbeing ' which meant all aspects of the pageant in Liverpool City Centre on June 5th was for a much healthier emphasis on lifestyles as hundreds took to the streets for a vibrant and colourful pageant with a difference !
(Still no PC, be using my Lil' Sis's when I visit her every couple of days to either upload or comment, no time for both)
There wasn’t a petrol powered vehicle in sight – everything was to be run by foot, solar, battery or pedal power making this the most environmentally and fitness friendly Lord Mayors Pageant ever !
The parade made its way through the city centre on a loop circuit for about 100mins and the delightful dancers never stopped once despite it being an extremely hot day, a pleasant change to last year when it rained non stop during the pageant !

With thanks to Helen. The funniest thing about this shoot. My wife was perched under Helen trying to make sure she felt safe and then a wave came and got her! And she was laughing like an idiot. Earlier, Helen had been right by the water's edge and also got 'got' by a wave, and I also got 'got'. So, we all got 'got'. :) What a lovely day in amongst the middle of this madness.

We aim to encourage people to take steps to improve their wellbeing in their daily lives. When this isn’t enough, the University of Southampton’s Biomedical Engineering programme is training future leaders in how technology can be used to support better health and wellness. Together we can change lives.
Wellbeing Beacon is sponsored by University of Southampton‘s Digital Health and Biomedical Engineering research Group, Electronics and Computer Science.
Over the summer of 2024, Southampton Hospitals Charity will be lighting up the South with a large-scale public art event that promises to captivate your senses and ignite your imagination.
There will be 40 8ft magnificent lighthouse sculptures on display through the streets and public spaces of Southampton and Cowes, each one a unique masterpiece designed by artists both local and well renowned, plus 40 mini lighthouses designed by local education groups, creating a family-friendly trail of discovery for visitors and residents to enjoy and explore.
The lighthouses will then be displayed together for a Farewell event in September 2024 which will be a chance to see all lighthouses gathered in one place, a truly unique sight. The sculptures will then go into auction to raise vital funds for Southampton Children’s Hospital.
Health and wellbeing are both determinants and consequences of economic progress. What are the challenges international companies are facing to keep their workforces healthy and engaged? What can companies do to nurture and support their science talent to develop solutions in this area?
