Recently life kept me very busy. I didn't have a chance to take new photos. Therefore, I pulled out one from last year.

~early morning at sunrise i woke up .. overwhelmed by the beauty before my eyes..the high table plateau "Bastei" and some houses illuminated looking out of fog/mist/dew .. and the moon high above in the sky !
I couldnt resist to watch the unfolding of the day ..the uprising and fading mist, birds flying from west to east and back ,until i noticed a herd of cows on the meadow down on the lille green sand hills before the hotel .
The foto is made out of the window of the hotel we found last evening at Rathen ...after breakfeast on the terrace we moved on to to Dresden.
'Angelic Waves of Light' kicks off a second mini-series on the 'Great Ocean Road', due to more recent work trips in Autumn 2023 to Melbourne (the capital of the State of Victoria, Australia). The first mini-series was in late 2019, while on holidays.
The Great Ocean Road is 240-kilometres (150 miles) long. Starting just west of Melbourne, it runs along the south-western coast of Australia. Thus, highly accessible to Melbourne and easy to undertake weekend trips.
Now a prime Aussie tourist attraction, it has extensive Pacific and Southern Ocean views; also of beaches, limestone and sandstone cliffs, and rainforests. Its landmarks include the renamed 'Twelve Apostles' stack formations, and many more (see this gallery on the end of p.3 & p.4 re earlier trip).
The road also passes the 'Surf Coast' (really good surfing) and, later, the 'Shipwreck Coast'; with approx. 638 known shipwrecks due to gales, human error and, in some cases, foul play (Wikipedia), mainly during the sailing ship era.
It was built through tough terrains by returned WW1 soldiers, from 1919-1932 and dedicated to Aussie soldiers killed in the fighting. It's the world's largest war memorial. Perhaps this was why some stacks were renamed the 'Twelve Apostles', with my photo inadvertently called 'Angelic Waves of Light' perhaps also relevant; and of course to the festive season!

Dit jaar verzorgt Müller-Touristik weer een aantal weekendtrips vanuit Münster naar Egmond aan Zee. Met de "Partyzug" word er tot Alkmaar gereden vanaf waar bussen het laatste stukje naar de kust rijden.
Uit Amersfoort is de TCS 102001 onderweg met leeg mat. 33261 naar Alkmaar om daar de gasten weer op te pikken voor de terugweg. De (ex) FlixTrain en Locomore rijtuigen vormen een bont geheel als deze met de blauwe loc bij Driehuis voorbij komen.

Our weekend trip at Enkaji Osiwo - a gorgeous house situated on the edge of the rift valley, just south of the Ngong Hills. There were herds of zebras blocking the bumpy roads the entire way there, impala prancing along, and Masai herdsman showing up on our doorstep. There wasn't any running water or electricity, but this house made the most perfect spot for an amazing weekend.

In single digit weather, K153, J549 and K190 perform a false departure past the Pipeline Crossing, just over four kilometres out of Maldon, Vic.
This memorable triple header was celebrated as part of Steamrail's "Maldon Weekender". Passengers had the chance to witness the triple headed train perform the false departures before continuing onto Maldon.

The Griffith Observatory is a facility in Los Angeles, California, sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles' Griffith Park. There are photo opportunities and scenery at and around the Observatory, with views of the Pacific Ocean, the Hollywood Sign and Downtown Los Angeles.
