I live in flat land on the muddy River Humber and this is about the most spectacular view around. Landscapes, without travelling for hours, are going to be challenging, to say the least and certainly not with the wow factor, particularly when our weather seems to be mostly cloud and rain - whatever time of year.

As always, this shot has many levels. My "vineyard" which is tiny teeny -- 250 vines, is barren right now and faces east. But the sunset to the West was so amazing it reflected back. When the leaves fill in for season 2 but more likely 3, we lose our view of the valley. It is a true juxtaposition. I am excited about this series as it forces me to pay attention to what is happening around me in my own backyard.
Traditional LandscapeThis is entrance to the High Park in Toronto (Etobicoke). Weather was wet and humid, 9 Jan 2016. Added a bit of HDR. Dogwood52 Week2 - landscape
So since I started this class I decided I would do one little drawing-sketch everyday, I found it helps me start the day with good mood. I actually enjoy doing it, and I want to thank you Sarah, because this class has really been an inspiration to me. The journal starts on July 10th and you can see the whole series if you want to in my facebook page: sara palacios illustrations :)
We had rain last night and this is the result this morning. I have added a tiny bit of brush work to the capture.
