My oldest daughter just got engaged so I've been submerged in all things Weddings! This is of an old wedding invitation I kept. HMM!

Some of you asked to see these so here are the invitations I have made for my son's wedding.
They are not my usual style as I love to make pretty things but the brief they gave me was vintage/retro, vinyl records and admission tickets. So although I struggled at first to come up with a design, I am pleased with how they turned out and they love them so that is what matters. I will be delivering them tomorrow. I've bought a lovely little crate to put them in, I'd already taken the photo though. I've given the photo a retro film edit as I thought it would suit the style of the invitations.
Stretched out in the beautiful gardens of the exclusive Infinity Castle you can find a high end garden venue with soft touches of salmon and white.
It is of utmost importance to decide on a theme prior to choosing your colors and even your wedding invitation cards. This makes it easier for you since you will then have a range of colors to work with. The rustic theme is catching up of late with Forever Fiancés recording a new high in orders for this theme.

Save the dates and envelopes custom designed and lovingly Gocco screenprinted by me. Printed on super thick (300 gram) textured cardstock with rounded corners.

This is a scan of a wedding invitation mini-poster that I just finished designing and screenprinting for Sarah Wert, a girl I went to college with. She lives in San Francisco now but contacted me because she remembered my work and thought I'd be a good match for what she wanted: a fun little poster in the spirit of fair and circus posters, inviting people to a very unique "destination" wedding set at her family's farm in the rolling hills of eastern Pennsylvania.
The next bunch of photos documents some of the process and how we arrived at this final poster, from research images to sketching and lettering, composition and color mockups in photoshop, and finally screenprinting in my spare bedroom with my newly-acquired screenprinting equipment (purchased for this job, but I will be doing more in the near future!).
囍 is a chinese character that means double happiness and is often used as a decoration design for weddings.
A dear friend of mine from college is getting married soon! This is her invitation - I'll be flying back to SF for the celebration. She's the first of my friends to get married. Hmm..am I at that age where everyone around me will start to get married and have babies already?
