Pub Night at Batch, Oct 2, 2018

In my continuing effort to teach myself web programming, I made some good progress tonight. I was able to download an XHTML/CSS template, make some modifications and incorporate a MySQL database using PHP to create a web page that a flickr friend and I are trying to develop! (No way I could say that a year ago!)

I am very proud of this photo as it represents growth in many ways. And to top it off - I did go out after working on this and actually got a new customer to develop a web site while drinking at a local bar!

3 of our groups of students started to work on the projects for real Clients! They are going to create web applications which will be the final projects of the Web Development course they are finishing. After they finish it and get the certification of the course completion they will be ready to start earning money by doing freelance projects while studying in high-school.

I'm so excited! Same as the students! Wish them good luck!

P.S. Our web development course is 1-year long course. It consists of 3 parts: HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Students create over 100 web pages during the course and work on the real website (design, add functionality and publish) by the end. Learn more and sign up here lnkd.in/dRYcTd6.

Some of the webdev team popped out to Bünker for lunch to welcome Steve.

Bünker sucks. We must not return.
