"The spider's touch, how exquisitely fine!
Feels at each thread, and lives along the line."

Deze ochtend bij het buitengaan viel mijn oog op dit web onder de verlichting van de achterdeur. Tja... dan kan ik het niet laten om mijn macrolens erbij te halen!
with the lady sitting next to me, whom i later found out to be jina bolton -- one of tomorrow's speakers. she was very cool.
There is no time for taking photos. Thats why I show you all my old stuff.
Leider habe ich im Moment keine Zeit zum Fotografieren. Daher zeige ich Euch mein altes Zeugs.

Community technology is great. It is incredibly refreshing to be reminded on a daily basis that, as a developer and technologist, I don't know crap about how everyday people view and use technology.
Two weeks ago I was in Washington, DC for the CTCnet Conference. While there I helped John Lorance of CompuMentor give a presentation on how Community Technology Centers and nonprofit orgaizations can use Web 2.0 services and tools like Flickr, del.icio.us,, wikis, mapping, et cetera to improve their programs and better fulfill their missions.
At the end we opened the floor to questions and comments. An attendee stood up and said that he had always been worried that with computers and machines growing ever smarter and more powerful, one day they would overthrow mankind. But after seeing these new Web 2.0 tools, he is relieved that humans will always stay one step ahead of the machines. Hallelujah.
I made this drawing using Inkscape, an awesome open source illustration program.
There have been a lot of church-based sites lately that have shown
off some great design, and Stonebriar is no exception. With a nice
mix of Flash and CSS, and a lot of design detail, the site looks
elegant and stays true to the content at the same time.
Manuela's personal site is big, bold, and beautiful (the 3 B's?). But
it's not in-your-face bold, and I like the way things are laid out on
the page.

The area of present Stepanavan was inhabited since the ancient times, but, in fact, the city in its current location on the southern bank of Dzoraget river was founded in the 12th century, as evidenced by Surp Sarkis Armenian Apostolic church in the center of town. The territory was the home of Kingdom of Lori (known also as Kingdom of Tashir-Dzoraget) of the 10th century where the Fortress of Lori (a medieval royal palace complex) was built. At Lori Berd (or Lori Fortress), the ruins of a 10th-century royal bathhouse and palace could be found. This medieval town-fortress was founded by one of the powerful kings of Armenia, David I Anhoghin, between 1005–1020. In 1065, king Kiurike I proclaimed Lori as the capital of the Kyurikid Kingdom after losing the town of Shamshvilde to the Georgian king Bagrat IV. Located on the northern trade route, Lori was a large craft and commercial centre in medieval Armenia. It had a population of more than 10,000 in the 11th century.
In 1105, Lori was occupied by the Seljuks, then by the Georgian House of Orbeliani. Later it became under the rule of the Armenian Zakarian brothers, Ivaneh and Zakareh. In 1236, Chaghatai Khan, the commander of the Mongolian army took over the town and razed it to the ground.
Between the 14th and 17th centuries, while under the rule of the Armenian Orbelian Dynasty as governors of Jalayirids, Karakoyunlu, Timurids and Akkoyunlu, Lori remained a strategically important fortress until the 17th century, when it was captured by Turks, Persians and Georgians respectively. During the reign of Catherine the Great of the Russian Empire in the 18th century, the town of Jalaloghly was founded on the same site, by the Armenian Hasan-Jalalyan dynasty from Karabakh. Jalaloghly was part of Borchalu region within the governorate of Tiflis in the Russian Empire.
The name "Jalaloghly" was used until 1923, when it was renamed "Stepnavan" after the Armenian Bolshevik leader Stepan Shaumyan.

Here is the new home page for my project statsr.net, which give you detailled stats about your flickr account.
This new version as four main goals :
- being nicer, faster, more reliable, and more acurate.
Here are some of main news :
- you can always and on every page select a date range to see stats for.
- for each graph you can zoom, or group stats by weeks or months
- some news stats are also available
- and finally we have wanted this version more profesional, so there is no more ads on the website, but a new pro account is now available, cheaper with all basics stats.
Many online entrepreneurs fail to understand the importance of effective website design. A poorly designed website will result in a poorly visited website. Using some of the most basic, but necessary, webdesign elements can be as important as the content on your website. If no one stays on your website long enough to read the content it matters little how good your content maybe. www.maxresultat.no/webdesign/webdesign-bergen

www.articledirectory.net.au/article.php?id=116285 - A number of design strategies for designing the website have now come up. These may include flash websites, e-commerce websites, and websites.
This design has a nice modern feel to it mixed with an older, Japanese style as well. The fairly simple effects such as the background patterns behind the headings and the light drop shadow under boxes make for nice details.
