These are some of my works from the past years as a freelance web & graphic designer and producer. I arranged them somewhen last year and uploaded them to a portfolio website.
The above page is developed using a tool called web methods, wherein a designer do not get much of freedom to work around..., CSS is developed based on the code produced in the backend.
Changes done are as follows:
1. Global links (Home, Site map and logout)
2. Menu with curved edges and the highlighted ones are shown clearly now
3. Headings are given orange color font, so as to differentiate from heading to heading
4. Suttle colors are used so that the page do not disturb the user's eyes
The brief was to produce a good looking, dynamic website that truly interacted with the audience, and that made use of up to date technologies. We incorporated YouTube Video, an interactive poll, forum share, and an events calendar.
The website has been developed to support Arts organisations in the East of England, providing a forum for sharing of ideas and best practice.
Rosalind Johnson, Director of A Different View, the organisation commissioned to produce the Captivate website said "the thing that people are going to get out of the website is a whole heap of inspiration to do what they do already, really well, that bit better."
