This is a B/W photograph of a thin web spun by a spider, then abandoned. The fine silky threads appear golden as they reflect the sunbeams at sunset; their pattern looks abstract!

A spider sits in the middle of his web, which was spun between the grab irons on the rear nose of Providence & Worcester B39-8 #3904.

The sun was backlighting and revealing this gorgeous web and Garden Spider (Orb Weaver) so beautifully, it just had to be snapped...! ;-)
