Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment’s (The Old Guard) Presidential Salute Battery take part in a gunner’s exam on an 81mm mortar on the Fort Myer portion of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall July 30, 2015. The exam tests proficiency of a mortar team's proficiency in mounting the mortar, making small deflection change, referring the sight and realigning aiming posts, making large deflection and elevation changes, and reciprocally laying the mortar. Although The Old Guard Soldiers perform ceremonial support missions throughout the National Capital Region, they are also infantrymen and are required to train accordingly. Kosovo Force (KFOR) Regional Command-East (RC-East) #Soldiers conduct range familiarization using multiple NATO ally and partner weapons systems at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, Feb. 2, 2023.

Swiss Army Capt. Martin Bruhlmann coordinated the training for Soldiers from the U.S., Switzerland, and Italy incorporating the M4/M4A1 carbine rifle, Berreta ARX160, and the SIG 550 weapon systems.

During the training Soldiers learned how to operate each weapon system, perform remedial actions, and engage targets during variable situations in the prone, kneeling, and standing positions.

Weapon training enhances the readiness and #marksmanship of all Soldiers from NATO ally and partner nations supporting KFOR and its mission is to maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo, as mandated by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999.

Weapons l’ho trovato interessante, originale e ben costruito. Fa paura?

Promosso.

With the assistance of the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, Peruvian authorities destroyed over 2,000 small arms in Trujillo, Peru, as part of a national campaign to prevent armed violence and promote human security.
