Get any weapon you could need from Kai and Nya's blacksmith shop! Who can say no to a blade signed by the Master of Fire?*

Another section from Kai and my NINJAGO collab, and one of my favorites - I just love the colors here! Plus, as this was the first on I built, I didn't have to worry too much about parts and size, so that was definitely a plus, haha! The stone floor/pathway was a new technique for me here, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!

This is also the second largest of my sections of the collab - be on the lookout for Sensei Wu's Monastery sometime next week!

Scroll on through my photostream for more closeups and interior pictures, or check out all the sections I've uploaded

here, and don't miss Kai's in this album!

Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome as always!

It's inlaid with decoration all down the shaft.

Here it is: my beloved Olympus E-620 and the just as lovely 14-54 mm lens. To be honest all the other stuff I have is mostly to satisfy the gearhead in me. I "accidentally" ebayed an E-510 with kit lens, which I used to take this shot. It's a long exposure in my light tent, lit with some cheap LED lights and some light painting with a mini flashlight.

The Canon PowerShot G9... I've wanted this one since before it existed. I balked at the G7 because Canon was on a bent of removing RAW from anything below their DSLR range, and I already had the PowerShot S80, which had had RAW removed from it, though the S70 and S60 and likely others prior had featured it.

When Canon announced the G9 late last summer, I took notice. I saved up and started looking around for a deal, and I actually bought this one, used, yesterday from a professional photographer in Ottawa-Gatineau for about 75% what it would have cost me retail. It arrived today a little after noon hour.

Compared to the S80, it's larger and the controls can't be managed with just your right thumb. But it features the DIGIC III processor, a step up from the S80's, including face recognition and image stabilization. I've already noticed it's somewhat better in low light conditions than the S80. Added to that the images it captures are 50% larger, so there's more detail to work with. It also takes 58mm filters with the adapter I also got from the photographer, and I have several of those due to owning the 18-55mm lens that comes with the Rebel XT. So I'm looking forward to putting this one through its paces in the coming year or so. Hoping to use it at the Royal Ontario Museum this coming Friday night. Stay posted.

The Medic is a Teutonic man of medicine. Although the Bonesaw isn't the greatest weapon for direct combat, he can typically still be found near the front lines, healing wounded teammates while trying to stay out of trouble.

This is the Inner Mongolia Museum, the biggest museum in the region. Unfortunately, most of the museum wasn't labeled in English, so I can't give precise information about these artifacts.

The standard infantry weapon across all the armies was the musket. It could be fired a three or four times a minute, throwing a heavy ball inaccurately for only a hundred metres or so. Each infantryman carried a bayonet which fitted the muzzle of his musket.

The four British rifle battalions (60th and 95th Rifles) carried the Baker rifle, a more accurate weapon but slower to fire.

Throughout the Peninsula War and the Waterloo campaign the Duke of Wellington was plagued by a shortage of artillery. The British Army was sustained by the haphazard system of volunteer recruitment and the Royal Artillery was never able to recruit a sufficient number of gunners. Napoleon had exploited the advances in gunnery techniques of the last years of the Ancienne Regime to create his powerful and highly mobile artillery. Many of his battles had been won using a combination of the manoeuvrability and fire power of his guns and the speed of his columns of infantry, supported by the mass of his cavalry.

We've got nothing to fear -- but fear itself?

Not pain, not failure, not fatal tragedy?

Not the faulty units in this mad machinery?

Not the broken contacts in emotional chemistry?

With an iron fist in a velvet glove

We are sheltered under the gun

In the glory game on the power train

Thy kingdom's will be done

And the things that we fear are a weapon to be held against us...

He's not afraid of your judgement

He knows of horrors worse than your Hell

He's a little bit afraid of dying

But he's a lot more afraid of your lying

And the things that he fears are a weapon to be held against him...

Can any part of life be larger than life?

Even love must be limited by time

And those who push us down that they might climb

Is any killer worth more than his crime?

Like a steely blade in a silken sheath

We don't see what they're made of

They shout about love, but when push comes to shove

They live for the things they're afraid of

And the knowledge that they fear is a weapon to be used against them...
