The Detroit Swing Bridge, Huron Basin, Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, England.

The Detroit Swing Bridge is a Salford Quays landmark.

Salford quays was previously the site of Manchester Docks, it became one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in the United Kingdom following the closure of the dockyards in 1982.

Wellington waterfront on a nice day last year sometime. We're certainly missing blue sky at the moment!

Philadelphia skyline at night

Low-slung buildings rise along the colorful coast of George Town, Grand Cayman.

Not the sharpest shot obviously, since It was taken through the window of the Porter airplane as we left, but I like it because it shows the waterfront area where the Word on the Street event was held. My book reading was in Paws Way on the left of the small marina, directly in front of the CN tower in the photo, but most of the crowd was on the right where the tents were set up. Many thanks to Penguin Random House for making all this possible!

Although not so dramatic as some of the other river views, this is one of my favorites. Looking East from Tower Bridge.
