This photograph was taken on Jubilee Bridge looking towards Mandarin Oriental Hotel (from left of photograph), Ritz Carlton Hotel, Esplanade Outdoor Stage, Singapore Flyer, The Float, ArtScience Museum and Marina Bay Sands. The lattice structures have been erected on the Float to serve as the performance stage for National Day Parade on 9th August. Parts of Ritz Carlton were illuminated by the projected light from The Float.

Captivating sunbeams appeared behind the two hotels and Singapore Flyer. These sunbeams provided interesting contrasts and the mirror-like reflections in the Bay added further interests to the cityscape.

This was my first time to set my alarm clock to 4:50 AM on a sunday morning. I really wanted to take a picutre of this beautiful place on sunrise. As it turned out, I wasn't the only one with this intention. About ten other photographers were already there :-)

Here I met Eric Jacob (ej foto) who is also an Olympus photographer! Thank you for the nice conversation and the exchange of knowledge. Hope to hear more from you soon.

I made a lot of photos this morning. This one is made of a set of HDR photos, stitched together to a panorama. Hope you like it!

I think these are painted turtles; if I'm wrong, please correct me.

Was a beautiful day.. I love this time of year..

Yesterday was a touch of blue, today a hint of orange.

As you can see, this little poppy thought he could hide from old Magoo by blending in with the background......but it didn't work did it..........oh no, Maggoo has a keen rubbish eye :^)))

Could not resist to preserve this arrangement. It was cold outside and these chairs are metal, so no point in hanging around for anyone to sit down. One day I´ll start shooting pictures with people in them. What else is there that is interesting really?

*Mashallah*

Rila Monastery - the monastery was founded in the 14th century on the site of the hermitage Ivan Rila existing since the 10th century in the valley of Rila mountain.

Modern form of the monastery dates from the 19th century, when through the victims of Bulgarian society and with the agreement of the Turkish authorities built a huge monastery complex. The walls of a thickness of 2 m and a height of 24 m giving it the appearance of a fortified stronghold. The inner courtyard is surrounded by three-storey buildings with arches painted in black and white and wooden galleries.

The main church of the Holy Mother of God is a three-nave basilica based on a cruciform plan with a dome at the intersection of the aisles. The pride of the temple are frescoes and great iconostasis.

In 1983 the monastery was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Rylski Monastyr – monastyr został założony w XIV na miejscu pustelni Iwana z Riły istniejącej od X wieku w kotlinie górskiego masywu Riła.

Współczesna postać monastyru pochodzi z XIX w., kiedy to dzięki ofiarom społeczeństwa bułgarskiego i przy zgodzie władz tureckich wybudowano ogromny kompleks klasztorny. Mury grubości 2 m i wysokości 24 m nadają mu wygląd warownej twierdzy.

AT THE MORNING ON THE BEACH WAS MY FREEDOM DAY

Saturday 21st January 2023, when the tow paths are covered in frozen snow and the air is filled with freezing fog. The Shropshire Union canal was very well frozen.

while it was still dark we had gone to a simple bird hide to be there before the flocks of Meyer's parrots and African green pigeons arrive at the clay eating site at sunrise.

While we were waiting we heard some noise behind us and after a while we knew these were warthogs ( definitely safer than some other possibilities...)

The family of warthogs came closer and had picked up our scent but they had no clue where we were.

The huge male in this image was walking in front and stopped nearby to look in our direction.

You can clearly see both set of tusks of which the very sharp small ones are used for fighting other warthogs or for defense against predators. The larger ones are used for digging etc.

I was at my daughter's house last night and these raccoons came to the door, probably looking for food and warmth. Suddenly they both stood up at the same time, as though pleading. I took this shot handheld through the window - it was below freezing outside.

My photo outing got cancelled today and has been postponed to Friday, but with the below freezing temperatures and black ice on the roads, I have a feeling it won't be happening.

This beautiful CANADIAN flew by me within a meter...the sound, the energy, the speed...the rush I felt was staggering...it was only for a few seconds...wow...and then it was gone..."STUNNING"...

Die kleinen Nilgänschen machen einen Ausflug an den nahen See.

I was looking over my photos to see which one I could post, and looking at this one just kind of relaxed me while I was looking at it. So, I dusted it off and cleaned it up and posted it.

Have a great Sunday

I was fortunate enough to see a number of reticulated giraffes when I was in northern Kenya last month. With only about 15 000 animals left in the wild, these are rare animals that can only be found in northern Kenyan parks like Ol Pejeta and Samburu. This particular animal was on the move in the early evening.

We don´t see light we are light.

and we´re spreading light.

Where light shines through

it´s something thin and fragile

But only that way can the light get in...

...back to the countryside again...my heart is there, after all, and I was missing it! No matter whether it's real life, second life, and I am certain even if there was a third life, I would always feel like a fish outta water if I wasn't surrounded by trees and animals and natural beauty. Lil Chow was worn out after his city adventure, so he stayed home and snoozed while Shep and I scampered off to this dream of a sim to play! Okay, I was chilling out, he was playing!

On the way home, we picked up some fresh carrots as a surprise for bunny! I can't wait to see his cute face light up when he sees them! 💕🐇🐶

I hope everyone is having a beautiful week! ♥
