I feel grateful for every day we had with our brave Ivanhoe, who succombed to FIP on March 10th 2008, less than a year old.
He was our first Somali - and as playful and loving as any kitten could be. Losing him was one of the worst things I have ever gone through, but I would not have been without him - and his departure opened for the cats that followed...

I'll never think about laundry the same way again after visiting Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Why simply do your laundry when you can use your washing machine to enter into another dimension?

Washing is not my favourite routine, but when I do the laundry I make sure it's full of colours ;-) I think it looks a bit like a disco, but if you look closer you can still see some washing powder in the back.

The Cleaner...
In February of 2019 I found myself indoors and doing odd jobs and other chores around the house. laundry was one of them . as i was loading the laundry i noticed how bright and shiny the inside of the washer was. It was then that i got distracted, pulled all the laundry out of the washing machine and started snapping off a few photos. .. i eventually did get the laundry finished after my squirrel moment.

This is the second time I've practically crawled into the washing machine to get a shot. The things we do for Macro Mondays! Today's theme is "Member's Choice: Abstract Macro". HMM!

Opened in October 1948, this factory, and adjoining depot, was the largest employer in the borough. It it was here that the Sinclair C5 was also produced. It closed in 2009.

50 minutes drive from Auckland is a beautiful natural paradise and one of the most famous surf spots in New Zealand. This place and especially the surfers impressed us extremely. There were no beginners in the water. Finally, New Zealanders are born with the surfboard on their feet or with the BBQ tongs in hand

The building popularly known as the "washing machine" is the headquarters of the German government and the office of the Federal Chancellor, still Mrs Angela Merkel at the time of the photograph.
The large sculpture ‘Berlin’ (2000) by Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002), made of Corten steel, can be seen in the left half of the picture.

So, I was unloading some laundry the other day and found myself staring mesmerised (sad, isn't it?) at the inside of the drum...

I was after the signs....the laundry operations had ceased several years before this photo. The signs finally disappeared in 2018 or 2019, I think. A used washing machine and dryer business occupies this building now. 5.13.2012
Beatty Brothers Ltd. was established in Fergus, Ontario in 1874 by brothers George and Matthew Beatty.
I remember using one of these machines when I was about 15 years old and once in a while I would make the ringers "pop"...just because, lol!
I went on a one day road trip with a few ladies yesterday. First time in 19 months and it was SO much fun.
