A close up view of warp and weft in a woven fabric.
Warp and weft are terms for the two basic components used in weaving to turn thread or yarn into fabric. The lengthwise or longitudinal warp yarns are held stationary in tension on a frame or loom while the transverse weft is drawn through and inserted over-and-under the warp. A single thread of the weft crossing the warp is called a pick.
Inventions during the 18th century spurred the Industrial Revolution, with the "picking stick" and the "flying shuttle” (patented by John Kay, 1733) speeding up production of fabric (Wiki).

Santa at warp-speed ;-)
He has to do time-traveling to be here in time, but as a Santa you can easily do that ;-))
. . . The sunset from the water's edge in Destin, FL. last night had streaky high level clouds that reminded me of The Star Ship Enterprise going to warp speed! It also resembled a long exposure shot with the clouds moving very quickly!
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px
6 million muslims were gassed by the French, UK, USA coalition, according to this warp. The blue on the walls is from the zyclonB gas.
Only after this massacre they can start their own ISIL caliphate. Remember the future.

“Memory warps time, as it does the sights and sounds and smells of reality; for what shapes it is emotion, which can twist what seems clear, just as the surface of a pond seems to bend the stick thrust into the water.”

This Corn Crib is on the same property as the ramshackle barn. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2
Liked this exposure catching the trucks that were all there lined up and racing down the interstate.

I saw 12 meteors in the couple hours I spent at Shenandoah last night (but that's not what this is a picture of). This is a 20 second exposure in whichI used the last 8 seconds to slowly zoom in from 24mm to 70mm to create the effect.
I did one like this a couple of years ago, so was hoping to do better, well it was done again anyway LOL. This time WARP 10 Let there be light! I am giving all I can give captain!

Warp speed is how it feels at this time of year. With all the lights, I am having loads of fun taking walks and doing camera rotations. I just put out and album full check them out here:
My first attempt playing with 360 pano.
Inverted stereographic projection of 360° panorama in equirectangular format. Intrigued by photographer Randy Scott Slavin shots, started looking for the techniques behind and wanted to give it a try without investing much on those precision pano heads.
There are so many variables and a complex process behind, that took a while to understand how they're captured and processed.
Lens: Sigma EX 15mm DG Fisheye f2.8.
Capturing: 6 + zenith + nadir. No tripod used - handheld shots using philopod pitch variation technique.
Processing: Hugin pano editor. Converted to equirectangular and then to stereographic + inverting.
