I needed a little artistic motivation , so I went to the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh Pa

I've always liked that Warhol Polaroid look. Wanted to capture a candid, vintage look

I know it's been ages since I've made any images to upload mostly because I'm not able to get a decent sized image to work with without crashing atleast a zillion times before. But all this aside, I've made these two hats for " Art In Hats" an event that I'm sure you'll be hearing more about pretty soon!

"whatcha takin' a picture of?"

A classic Andy Warhol silkscreen painting that is on display in the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas.

"Marilyn Monroe died in August 1962, having overdosed on barbiturates. In the following four months, Warhol made more than twenty silkscreen paintings of her, all based on the same publicity photograph from the 1953 film Niagara. Warhol found in Monroe a fusion of two of his consistent themes: death and the cult of celebrity. By repeating the image, he evokes her ubiquitous presence in the media."

Almost 200 photos to edit and get out this weekend but i knew, in the back of my mind, i had to find this one from Thursday night's "The Dandy Warhols" gig.

I love photographing live music and especially bands that i have enjoyed for years!

Art Fun Fact: In 1956 Andy Warhol offered one of his drawings of a shoe MoMA as a gift and it was rejected. This is a photo with a Warhol filter.

As a composer and as a musician I'm a true believer - and this is not to be overly diplomatic - I'm a believer that there's artistry in everything from a lawn gnome to a desk chair to a symphony to an Andy Warhol painting. There's art in absolutely everything. Darren Criss
