Shot in a Wallmart parking lot lol.. Originally wanted to get the shot out at the pier but weather didn't agree.
Shot of construction on the controversial Skywalk in Jasper National Park, which is scheduled to open next year. The structure stands in contrast to the natural beauty of the valley it is supposed to allow tourists view. The "Box Store Approach" to life is not appropriate to sites such as Jasper National Park - a Unesco World Heritage Site.
An early start but a short walk to the location, given that the hotel which has the original name of "The View" is off to the right.
Now, clouds are unusual here, so as i stood there before sunrise it was 50/50 as to whether the sun would make an appearance.
We had selected this spot the evening before, as...being me...I liked the gnarly old tree to the right and the desert foreground.
A very disgruntled tog arrived and moaned that I had his spot...well, tough, get up earlier.
The sun did appear, and coloured the clouds off to the right. Shortly after the day clouded in so we were indeed fortunate to have enjoyed this morning.
Brad however, being a bit of a softee, opted to watch it in his pyjamas from the hotel.
My smugness was countered by me leaving all my wash gear at the hotel, forcing a trip to the next Wallmart for some cheap razors...ouch.
Self made cards for Christmas on paper with coffee and graphite , have a nice day ,thanks for the vist.
Moral: Never leave apples in your fridge.
Ok, so today I am just way-- wayyy too lazy to do up a prettiful picture for everyone to see and go "oh thats pretty" etc. so today... you got letters!
To help show just how lazy I've been lately, I've got a story for ya'll...
I have a mini fridge under my desk. Why? Because it's either that or walk four blocks up a hill to get food (4-serious) and I get the munchies on occasion...
Anyways! You know those pre-sliced apples at Wallmart, that are so yummy and crisp and the thought of how sweet and delicious they are make you drool a bit? *hands tissue* ell, i picked those up awhile ago and put them in my mini-fridge thinking, "When the munchies strike, I shall love you ravenously".
What I didn't realize is how Wallmart keeps them for sale right up to the expiration date *sadface*
So there they were, waiting patiently in my minifridge to be devoured... when.... yesterday I discovered a strange smell... Opened the fridge and *This part has been removed so you can all keep your cookies*
My mini fridge still smells like fermenting apples D=

Café Frequenters Episode 278
--------------------------------------------
Hello Lizzy Lizz small bug and friend withy a cute snout!
I know that you have asked me before about my nationality, both when we have met Live and by letter and/or Phone... I just get the feeling that I never gave you a good answer so I am gonna give it a new try, The Coffee-machine is loaded and working and I have a full pack of new squiggies next to the coffee-maker the ashtray is here too, now nothing can disturb me and I will start writing...
Ok, Nationality, yes, you know that I often say that I am not a Swede, well in some cases I am a swede, I have gone in their (boring) school, I have head-butted with any of the grinding grey Swedish bureaucracy, been tied up in any red tape, walked through their swamps... Oh wait, now it is becoming a pansy fantasy adventure... Excuse me, I am just gonna get some more coffee buff some fags and move my brain back to starting position...
Ok, Lets start again...
I think that what I want to say is that I have several realities open at once, according to one system it is easy I am a citizen of Two European states The U.K. and Sweden....
That is the easiest way to state what nationality I am,
Then we have the connection bit, Here I am a Swede in the sense that I grew up in the country and was forced through it institutions and yada-yada you know the rest of that part...
Then you Have Denmark or rather Copenhagen, I am not a Danish citizen, I am often considered a Swede in this country even though I speak some kind of Danish and half-grew up there, so culturally I am Part Danish, because I know the culture, speak some version of their language, but I didn´t go to school there, but I have friends there, have lived there, frequented their cafés, shops all the rest... I also got a Danish CPR-number since I have worked there... But I am locally tied mostly the the greater capital area CPH or KBH
Ok, England or the U.K or whatever well as you know My granny is born in England, London, was a kid during the Blitz and evacuated temporarily to cornwall (the pirate part of the UK)
But is she English? she grew up a cockney but her father had foreign parents Jews from either The Netherlands or The Hungarian-Austrian state that existed back then... it depends on which relative you ask...
and Her Mother was according to most sources half English half Irish, that is why my Granny grew up a catholic and went to a catholic school run by nasty nuns...
Where was I now, then you have my paternal Granddad, He war born in Sweden he had either some polish or Galician ancestry perhaps with some sami or finish in his gene-pool...
But now skip all this, I am gonna focus on the customs and cultures now, my Granddad left Sweden as a very young adult as a coal shoveler on an old fashioned ship just after the 2nd WW, there he met my even young granny on Ireland...
oh, My head starts to hurt and Guess what B-Tim called, he wants me to com to the Vinyl Café, I owe him money so I better go straight a way...
So I will cut this thing short and post the letter on my way to the Vinyl Café...
My point is, I think, that nationality is a floating subject, what do you feel, what is your history what customs have you acquired either by choice or by just growing up...
To ad to the complicated matter, is that one of my sides of the family has much of a culture stemming from the international circus world, that is why my granny uses many words who are polari slang, I don´t even think she knows it as such, but the words in her english have stuck after years working at circus and theaters...
Oh, My head is spinning, I have to rewrite this in a later letter to you since now, my brain just went blank...
Take care my most beloved Greek-insect living in Paris...

I am gonna have to be horrible to bring this message across to the considerable number of people still blind to the ways of their media out "West".
You / your parents did not want this where you lived in the 70's and 80's so your respective governments, in order to retain your "democratic vote" , started outsourcing this to China in the late 1980's (yes, a willing victim, we all agree). Still, all in the name of you wanting clean air you kept on voting for the people who brainwashed you into believing they are doing it all for you and your kids - all so they could earn a salary as an MP / Senator or whatever for another 10 or 20 years ... sadly never giving a second thought about the kids here having to breath in this rubbish you see in my photo.
Now, at last, the wheel is turning and slowly but surely the sh*te we breath here in China is reaching you and as horrible as it to say, terribly sadly, also your kids.
The solution?
Let's all start looking in the mirror, let's ALL stop blaming others and let's ALL do something about this global catastrophe we as a human race is facing.

Ok I think I have a handle on the Republican logic here. Dead children don’t count because they don’t vote. The majority of shootings are aimed at blue collar victims, they usually vote Democrat so this is a win. As a politician you can raise massive amounts of almost unregulated money by convincing the under educated to contribute after a shooting, another win.
After a shooting push for fewer regulations. This will increase gun sales making you a golden calf to the gun manufacturers, their lobbyists and the penally challenged.
Now they just have to keep the shooters away from upscale malls, stores, churches and schools because a shooting at WallMart is a opportunity but a shooting at Neiman Marcus is a tragedy .

A day spent chasing my tail today before we go away, what with planting up the last of the marigolds in my garden and shopping for holiday essentials. This is an el cheapo watch I bought in Asda ( known as Wallmart in the US) . I'd tried capturing it on my wrist but a ' nocando' because despite being right handed , I always wear a watch on my right wrist, and didn't have time to faff with a tripod.
a middle aged woman walks by a old wall near the center of the city - The wall runs along a busy street opposite a shopping mall with a Wallmart (gotta love the irony) The characters runnning almost full length along the wall, roughly translated they read "Work more and harder for the people of Taiyuan"
Walmart decorative witch about around 14 inches tall. It's pretty well crafted and all for $10.97. The same head sculpt is used on 3 or 4 versions that I saw - some green and some flesh tone. This one looked the jolliest...er, the wickedest.
