when time affords me the opportunity to sit and wait for it. I do just that. My spoils are these photos. I get to see the world --one shadow cast at a time. I call that living.
A Snowy Egret waits patiently for that moment to pounce...
Another capture from last year that I've been meaning to post.
i had a dream about javier bardem last night. we eloped in the scottish highlands and it was faaabulous. a part of me still believes it happened. or if my bill clinton premonition was indicative of any superpower, then it will happen....
I still have more from that shoot I want to upload...that I even like better...but I need help in photoshop fixing some minor things. One of my friends has not surfaced in a few days...so I'm stuck waiting. But I do like how this turned out. Thanks C.J. for the help w/ ideas, and Hubster for making the card.
I just couldn't resist posting this shot that Richard took this morning at the dog park. It makes me laugh and believe me, I need a good laugh this week. :-)
I don't know.. I find this one pretty amusing as well..

Everyone has monsters and demons within themselves. They're metaphors for the human condition. - Mark Pellegrino
Just a picture of me lying mostly dead in my driveway.
I don’t really have much to say today.
It’s kind of funny. I’ve been staring at this shot all day long thinking of something to say about it.
Maybe I could talk about gangsters and the made up stories I used to tell the people I meet about my kinda Sicilian but totally AWESOME grandfather?
Maybe I could talk about dying and dead people?
Or maybe I could talk about getting murdered and the effect that could have on my family and friends? Blood, guts, gore, fucking insanity.
Fuck it. I don’t want to talk about any of that.
I don’t want to talk about anything really. Just a lazy Sunday man.
The album listed below? Ha.
Well it just was released in the 1970’s. I personally discovered it many years ago. I used to listen to it working out at the gym I used to work out at. I often listen to it in my car.
Just so you know, this album has influenced so many “indie” bands that come out today. It is raw man. Post-punk at it’s MAX.
This album took punk music, mixed in a little bit of art, politics, suave, and a tiny bit of cute and made it into one of the best albums ever released on planet Earth.
LOVE!
PS-Don’t you just love how I make every sentence a paragraph? It’s totally fantastic. I don’t do it on purpose. It’s just how I talk and entirely how I think.
I swear.
Bye.
PS-Later gator.

I'm not sure if the daisy is trying to push its way into the shot or is just partaking in a mexican wave but eh... it looks nice so that's good enough for me.

If you don't stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it. - Ferris Bueller
I would have missed this shot. Thanks Kelly.
Leon quoted from Ferris Bueller's wife's movie today, so I am quoting from Carrie Bradshaw's husband's movie. =P

Work was super busy, had a super hard day and was late for a meal with some friends. We went to nando's in Oxford Circus. Twas a nice meal, though i had to wait 30minutes for my wings.
Had a lovely conversation about music, movies and a bit on books. When I left I saw some awesome lights at the entrance of Nando's which included a mirror so I thought "hmm, do i smell self portrait?". Out comes the camera and snap, a lovely bokeh induced self portrait (or a self bokehrait). Bet you can't spot me. Make notes of where I am, a clue is that I love my rules of thirds so yeah, try and make out parts of me and whatnot, I am definitely somewhere (I took a boring nonbokeh shot so yeah). I'm also doing a gesture if you can see it. If translating bokeh into a focused shot is too confusling then use your imagination and think up of something fun :)
But yeah, not a subject orientated photo but I'm going to love using it as my iphone wallpaper, just need some green bokeh ones :)

Canon T2i w/80mm Mamiya f/1.9
Working on getting the hang of using this lens on the Canon. Manual focus never seemed so hard on the Mamiya m645, but on the digital body I realize how easy it is to fall into the trap of relying on the focus assist points even when using manual focus on a Canon EF lens.
