Die-hard railfanning at it's finest, a 1.5 mile hike in the driving rain to get a pic of this bridge... you guessed it, about 1/4 mile short of catching NS heading north, UGH! During the early 20th century, the PRR constructed what it referred to as its "Low-Grade Lines", branches constructed with a minimal grade to divert freight traffic from its congested and steeper main lines. One of these new lines was the Atglen and Susquehanna Branch, which left the Main Line at Parkesburg to cut cross-county to the Susquehanna River, followed the east bank of the river to Marietta, crossed the river and ran along the west bank to Wago Junction, where it met the Northern Central Railway. The line from Marietta to Wago Junction was chartered as the York Haven and Rowenna Railroad, and much of the construction, including the crossing of the Susquehanna at Shocks Mills, was done by H.S. Kerbaugh, a major PRR contractor. The bridge was first opened on January 1, 1905, as a twenty-eight span brick arch.

Old railroad car at a rail yard. Age is starting to show and I love photoing everything that looks old. This certainly did as an abandoned car.
"VR" stands for Finnish railway company owned by the state of Finland. Name is originated from "Valtionrautatiet" (State railways) from 1922 or from the original name "Suomen Valtion Rautatiet" (Railways of the state of Finland) from 1862.

A trio of High River MP15's have tonight's local in hand as they round the curve past Chuck Wago Lumber on the main. The train has just passed under the branch in the background, and will soon be swapping out the Railboxes on the headend of their train for the empty inside the building.
The MP15DC's are custom painted Atlas models, the Railboxes are custom Trainman ACF cars that have been redetailed and the building is bashed from some Pikestuff parts. 'Flashbulbs' from an iPhone flashlight.
This picture was an old wagon. Taken at Enchanted Spring Ranch San Antonio Texas. The picture was a vertorama and process into an HDR from Photomatix.
A wagon (in British English, sometimes waggon) or dray (low, sideless) is a heavy four-wheeled vehicle. Wagons were formerly pulled by animals such as horses, mules or oxen. Today farm wagons are pulled by tractors and trucks. Wagons are used for transporting people or goods. Wagons are distinguished from carts, which are small and have two wheels, or semi-trailers, which are large and have two wheels, and from lighter four-wheeled vehicles such as carriages. A wagon could be pulled by one animal or by several, often in pairs.-Wikipedia

16. November 2009
Train towed by a 155 locomotive series. I don´t know which are the goods that these wagos are carrying, but the owner of all of them is Yara International ASA is the world’s leading chemical company that converts energy, natural minerals and nitrogen from the air into essential products for farmers and industrial customers. The photo was taken in a town close to Jena.
