Long exposure during a rainy day on Swanage Pier.
It was a bit of a moody morning and what worked well here is the walkway has a gloss look and capturing the mood in between showers, also strong winds hence the moody clouds.
Firecrest 10 stop nd filter used.

Treat myself to a Wacom the other week. Just from the basic range but these are the first few I have posted after a little dodge / burn / layer mask treatment
"You are made of magic, little ladybug"
I wanted to make something that was just mood, warmth, color. A feeling. The winter has lasted too long and I'm longing for the warmth of the sun now!

WARNING! the following contains shameless and unrestrained praise of own son: I was inspired to make this illustration/sketch last year when I read one of my sons 6th grade school projects. His assignment was to write a handwritten 2-5 page fantasy story, following a given set of genre rules. He surprised us all by handing in a 52 pages long story called "The Seventh Guardian", a computer text document with 8 chapters filled with pure fantasy suspense. Set in several parallel worlds endangered by the fight between good and evil....the plot had everything....it even had a cliffhanger at the end...you know, so that we would ask for a sequal. How´s that for an 11 year old?! I had a plan to get it properly printed with more illustrations to go with it, but it kind of blew over...and well...some day maybe. (perhaps I´ll surprise him with it on his weddingday or something:)
I was drawing way before I was a photographer. I did this for Katie's blog. I drew it with my Bamboo Fun tablet, entirely in Photoshop CS4.
