The flag of Norway adorns these steps that lead down to downtown Poulsbo Washington which was settled by a Norwegian in the 1880’s and then became a destination landing spot for Scandinavian immigrants since, referred to as little Norway, it is a charming little town with a delightful downtown with much Norwegian influence. It was named Poulsbo after a Norwegian village of the same name as the Olympic mountain range and the Puget Sound reminded the settlers of the fjords of Norway.
