The weather is bad, put some Reggae on!

When we used to buy Vinyl or CDs, sometimes we got lucky and bought an album on which we liked pretty much every song. Babylon By Bus was/is such an album. I love it still!

I took the bus and the signpost in one take but added the snow afterwards. The bus is a USB stick which I used in MM years ago. The signpost is made from a toothpick.

It has been a long time since I have been on a road trip. I love having the windows down and the tunes playing...

Thanks for your visit. HCT! Have a great day everyone.

I saw a convoy of these VW Buses drive past my house this spring. I suspect it was a club.

Missed my workout because my husband had to leave early today. I naturally rise with the sun and took the opportunity to shoot at sunrise. I love the way the light feels in the morning, so warm and immersive, a wonderfully comforting hug.

I had a totally different idea that I was going to shoot this morning until I saw the light. Despite it only being 23° F the light was warm and immersive and completely irresistible.

ODC - good news, I found the light!

Another quiet Sunday morning filled with beautiful light. I took out my toy and played in the light, what a beautiful way to start the day. Sharing that feeling with you today.

We had our first bit of frost on the windows last night, oh I'm not so sure I'm ready for cold weather. It made for a beautiful sunrise though with the grass glistening and the frost quickly subsiding. The past few mornings were cloudy and overcast, it was invigorating to witness the sunrise, stop and capture the light. Thanks for visiting, peace to you!

Throwback Thursday it is. The year was 1971. Newlywed, we drove from California to my hometown of Des Moines, Ia. Joshua the dog traveled with us. One of the most memorable moments was a stop in a wilderness area along a stream in Idaho, to stretch our legs and let the dog run around. Joshua disappeared briefly and came back a real stinker. Apparently he had encountered a skunk. We washed him as best we could in the stream, so then we were faced with a travel companion that smelled like skunk and wet dog. This is not good when confined to a VW bus.

Aside from that, it was a wonderful trip from which I have many fond memories. We were young dumb and fairly enamored of each other.

Sorry for the poor picture quality.

I had to do a quick image today, we are getting our roof replaced tomorrow and I need to make sure we are ready.

Have a lovely day! Hope to catch up with my comments soon, so sorry I am behind.

This morning I found myself just after sunrise playing with my toys in the puddles and running through the sprinklers. How did you start your day?

New! Challenge 241 ~ November Nuance ~ The Award Tree ~

It rained last night so since there was rain sitting in the gutter I decided to use one of my favorite photo props. The pre-sunrise light was amazing and I really like that it surrounds my vw bus.

May you be enjoy love, peace and light wherever you are today.

All the extraordinary beauty the sun provides a few moments each day - rays, flare and stars. Nothing better than to playing with my camera, light and toys. Hope you enjoy playing today too.

'Roid Week Autumn 2020 5/2

Bogata,Texas (Pronounced Buh-GODA by the locals) 7.6.2016.

There is no other way for me to describe what I do as anything but play. I had my toy, splashed in puddles and tried to see things differently and create an image to have motion blur and reflection. I tried repeatedly and very unsuccessfully to have motion blur with the van "driving" across the scene but try and try again I couldn't get it. So although I am happy with my image I feel a bit defeated with my attempts and plan to revisit capturing motion.

Oh, and hint, if it's not raining a strategically placed sprinkler will do the trick.

I stumbled upon Kim Leuenberger's Instagram images (www.instagram.com/travellingcars/) today and found some inspiration for today's pic. I am starting to feel better and decided to walk down my block with my toy van this morning. Most of our snow has melted away but I found a small pile to set my van in for effect. I decided to work in Photoshop with cloning and adding texture. There is always more to learn but I am trying, baby stepping along the way. Have a great day and thank you all for the well wishes, they did the trick!
