an instance of one of our many pass road crossings during our round trip around Iceland. This pass road crosses one of the mountain ranges flanking Iceland's Westfjords and the compacted snow to the right gives an idea about the amount of snow coming down here and what struggle it must be to keep these roads usable during the long winter month!

Bon Voyage:
Dear Friends, On New Year's Day, I will officially end this part of my career as Vice President of Human Resources for Community Health Resources. I am so thankful to have ended on a high note with a non-profit that does incredible work with people with mental health and substance use challenges. I have been able to do my job at CHR with a lot of heart for which I will always be grateful.
Over my 45 year career, in and out of HR, I have worked with many organizations. I've had a phenomenal career even when it has been tough.
People ask, am I retiring and I say No, I am REWIRING. I am taking more time for me and my family and friends and am figuring out my next step which will definitely include photography and HR work.
I hope to take many beautiful photos during this time and share them with you along my journey. I hope to share my deep understanding of the world of work to coach and mentor the next generation of leaders.
The most important lessons that I have learned thus far throughout my career are as follows:
1) Put your health first. The work world is so incredibly demanding and it is easy to forget to rest, breathe, eat well and connect with your loved ones.
2) Always be honest with yourself about where you are working and ask, is this an organization that deserves your brilliance and talent.? If it isn't....Yes, certainly try to affect change and if it isn't happening then move on and find that right place where you can shine and where you will be seen and appreciated.
More insights to follow along this Voyage but for now Bon Voyage!!
Love,
Amy

A second visit to capture some images of the Lightwaves 2016 displays. This is Voyage by Aether & Hemera featuring 198 origami boats floating in Dock 9. On the left (green/yellow office block) is the Digital World Centre building and on the right the Lowry Theatre captured just before sun down.
