If our souls were the windows of civilisation, what would they reveal? In VOID, choreographer Boi Sakti confronts the moral decay and hypocrisy engulfing society and calls into question the very meaning of ‘civilisation’. The soul is wounded. Conscience has fallen into a black hole. Principle and reason have given way to greed and falsities.There is a tragic loss of humanity despite claims of greater openness in a civilised world. This affecting and insightful work examines these distortions and seeks to contextualise them. The world premiere is performed by T.H.E Dance Company led by artistic director Kuik Swee Boon, and features award-winning sound designer Darren Ng. At once powerful and poetic, VOID throws the windows wide open and compels you to face what is really there.
These images were captured at a full dress rehearsal in the Esplanade Theatre Studio on the 21st October 2009.
An outtake of my 365 project
I am constantly amazed by the amount of space here in Texas. Seems like everywhere I go I'm reminded by the wide-open sky or the fields of grass. Even the urbanized sections of the city seem out of proportion compared to the wide open spaces that surround it.

What sucks is I was walking by there last night and it looks like someone took everything down that was up there.
Yes, I know whoever owns the Boyd owns the walls and if they don't like what's on them they can do what they want, but....
But speaking as a fan of street art, what they had going there was in a way a really cool impromptu gallery.
Why not keep the street art there, but also put up your own informational material about the Boyd and your efforts to save it?
Instead of ripping it down, why not use the street art as a way to broaden public awareness of your efforts.
There's a word for that.
I think it's called marketing.
And I humbly offer my thoughts above as exhibit #203,456 in the case of "all marketers are not evil (just most of them)" (-)---)

What is something you did with your camera or editing that made this photograph successful? Explain. I made the ISO high because it was pitch black in the room and on the specific background we used with the projector. I also made the f-stop low to bring in more light of the camera and the surroundings

Why do you like this photograph so much? Explain. i like how aesthetically pleasing it is and i also like how kelly's right eye is highlighted in the pink line
