Rebecca is vocalist and trumpeter and performed in a back patio of 'Pamenar' which seats about 30 people (uncomfortably 😄) Michael is Rebecca's long time partner, so I purposely included him in the photo. Kensington Jazz Festival was back after forced hiatus, the attendance was about 60% of previous years, but the concerts were 100% wonderful.

Alex is an actor, singer, composer and photographer, who brings you new tunes wrapped in old time feeling. He sounds like Sinatra; his mannerism is also from the 1950s-60s. I have seen him treating his numerous fans, who range from twentysomething to seventysomething, with kindness and respect. The vocalist was nominated for 2022 Juno Award. (Canadian Grammy). His band the 'Jazz Mavericks' include Jacob Gorzhaltsan-sax, Ewen Farncombe-piano, Daniel Botos-drums and Ben Dwyer on bass. At 'Tapestry' on the day it opened under new ownership.

A few quick pics I took of Sandra during our sound check before our concert at The Mesa Jazz and Blues Theater in Mesa, Arizona.
Simona and Denisa Katzer were busking on small outdoor market on Republic Square. Their repertoire was mostly popular English language songs, the musical and language skills were both top notch.
They are known as '20 minutes', not as 20 minutes of fame, but as they were born 20 minutes apart. Do not ask me which one is which. They also sing as guests of some popular Prague bands.

A Yellow-throated Vireo singing his little heart out. My first time to photograph one of these Llittle beauties. It has been a season of firsts!
Yellow-throated Vireos are early spring migrants that travel from their wintering grounds in Central and South America.
Burnside, the 6 times Blues Music Award drummer of the year, did not touch drum sticks in Montreal. He played acoustic and electric guitar and sung. This was fine, as he had a competent drummer and bassist behind him. He was nominated for Grammy few times and won in 2022.
The grandson of R.L. Burnside seemed happy on the stage, first with few songs on acoustic guitar before his band mates joined. He is only 45, but plays blues already for 30 years. Fun fact: he replaced his father on drums in his grandpa band.

Burnside, seis veces baterista del año en el Blues Music Award, no tocó las baquetas en Montreal. Tocaba la guitarra acústica y eléctrica y cantaba. Esto estaba bien, ya que tenía un baterista y un bajista competentes detrás de él. Fue nominado al Grammy varias veces y ganó en 2022.

I followed this individual around for about half an hour. It sure was vocal!

A picture from last night at, The Dispensary Lounge, here in Las Vegas as they celebrated 11 years of having live jazz.
Former guitarist with the USAF Jazz Band (Shades of Blue), internationally known arranger, guitarist, vocalist, song writer and teacher, Steve Cipriano is now entertaining audiences in SW Florida with jazz, blues and adult rock and roll music. Shown performing at the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Shawn is better known as leader of 'Sean Stanley Band', which can be solo piano/vocalist to a sextet. I know Shawn for few years, but only now is he getting some attention. He is one of the hardest working musicians in Toronto and from playing on the street corners, he plays at all the Toronto best jazz joints and hotel bars. That can only be attributed to his talent and hustle.

La linda Belinda is an excellent flautist and vocalist. I was lucky to seen Belinda twice at the Havana Jazz Festival, She performed at "Música es Mujer" in Teatro América, and few days later, she was featured performer in Bobby Carcasses (her musical padre) showcase of his best fifty, or there about, musical friends. Flute is not a common jazz instrument in my part of the world. I can count flautists (or flutist) with fingers on one hand. In Cuba, there is definitely more of them. Not sure who the singer with her is.

Today at 11:30am is the Opening Event for the artwork of Tamarind Silverfall! Come view a selection of some of her most whimsical, beautiful, dramatic and unique pieces. Tamarind's creative imagination gives her the ability to create just about any theme in any style which is obvious in her diverse collection of artwork :) All new artwork all over the gallery. Went out Saturday afternoon to listen to the Legendary Las Vegas alto saxophonist, Tom Hall and his quartet feat. Toscha Comeaux, at The Bootlegger Italian Bistro this. They sounded wonderful!
At the Country Gospel Concert, this pretty, pleasant and photogenic vocalist was the main subject of many of my shots.

Happy Palls would celebrate playing 50 years in Grossman's Tavern. It seems like ages ago when they played last. Live music? Is that an urban legend? You mean there used to be a live music in Toronto? This photo was taken just few months ago, in middle of January. My summer is going to be completely different. Everything cancelled, put on hold or put on-line. The photo is of banjo player and singer Ben Lee and trombonist and vocalist Roberta Tevlin is from January 2020. That was the last time I have been to a live music event in Toronto.
