ANCIENT CATHEDRALS

How many lives passed

within these cold stormy walls

Saints, heroes, murderers, poor people

Everybody looking for something

Now the clamor of the centuries is over

I will await here silently

among this gathering of rustling shadows

that someone tells me about your broken lives

In the middle of that thick scrub

between erased names

faded photographs

where all ambitions end

behind corroded stone writings

LIFE

How mysterious this Universe is

Where does Life come from?

Are We perhaps luminous dust

born in the incandescent atomic heart

of some distant giant star?

Or maybe Gods lurking in non-human darkness

into their magical laboratories

assembled at the beginning of time

the cosmic egg and threw it into the void

to fertilize at random the worlds?

Too many questions

No answers

OLD FASHIONED

There was a time when the young ladies walked modestly

in their ethereal white garments and floral hats

along the fragrant gardens of those old country houses

With delicate umbrellas to protect

their white cheeks from the blinding sun

It was the time of grace and kindness

of the quiet talk in the slowly flowing time

A mythical age and a regret

Only old fashioned remembrances

like that solitary ancient table

No name, no destination.

The boat lies hollow,

its purpose stripped by

time and tide.

What remains isn’t loss,

it’s silence.

And silence remembers.

🎵 Joep Beving - September

the place: Frogmore

so lovely clouds there, i captured upsidedown, not bad, don't you think ;)*

a solitary figure framed by geometry and tide, caught between silence and movement, beneath the echo of a lisbon clock

"souvenir"

standing on the edge of light, where steel becomes shadow and silence is engineered. the city moves around her, but for a second, time folds into reflection and the world above glows just enough to remember.

The ride and the rider are moving back to home after passing a golden day at beach

n the hush between walls and work, she pushes forward. mop in hand, shadow in step, she becomes the rhythm that no one hears but everyone depends on. her silhouette, caught between day and duty, stands taller than most ever notice.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,

Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;

Conspiring with him how to load and bless

With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;

To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees,

And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;

From John Keats' poem, To Autumn (1820)

Painted Portraits at The Award Tree

this day was fantastic day for me. i was given the one beautiful book from the very important person. the book name is "the grass festival"(草木祭). the text was delicate inner mind, or maybe mind walk looking thorough the grasses around the author Yugure Maeda. some chapters were the viewing his nature life and those were as if equally his life and his last will...after i red the book, i was a sort of overwhelming, fulfilled of thankfulness that i am being here. i went to take a walk around the birth place of the author. when i saw the grasses, a lot of impressive texts were coming up to my mind. this book will be as my bible through the life. the life is more happy when you meet your only book:)*

thank you all friends and i want to share this feeling with you:)

collage and table compo.

back to my visual poem again. prunes and blueberries are in my garden.

One of the things that I love about taking photographs is creating a different world out of our own world. Taking photographs, editing them, or just viewing them makes me feel like I am day dreaming.

This is a self portrait, taken with film.

I also love this dress.

Oh summer! I have been so busy with school and now I am not working or going to school, what better way to start this summer than going out with my friends and my love to take pictures? I said that it was my "warm-up." When I am in school, I am so focused on how my teachers want photographs and using other techniques that they teach me, that I get out of what I want to do. I'm not saying it is good or bad, but it takes me a couple weeks to get back into taking pictures just because I want to, not because I have a deadline. So this was one of the photographs that I shot! Of course, it is a self portrait.

Sometimes I feel that editing takes forever. I'm fine with that, but sometimes it is because I'm indecisive. Well I finished this yesterday and waited a day to make sure I liked it how it was!

This is a self portrait and for one of my projects.

This is part of one of my series where things start to get a little dark. It was inspired by the movie The Hours, when Virginia Wolf make a burial for a bird. Of course it's not the same, but it was inspired by it.

This is part of my Wanderer series.

I have to say that photoshop crashed 3 times when I was trying to save this image, meaning that I had to edit this image 4 times. I wanted to smash my computer, but I didn't and I just tried to edit it again and saving a copy every few steps in photoshop!

This is part of my Wanderer series. I am very excited to continue with this series because I have more of a plan of where I want it to go.

I was able to work with my friend Lauren for the first time! It was a lot of fun :)

This is shot with Color Implosion film.

This picture is Film, converted to digital, and I changed up the colors a little bit. I made a cyanotype (which makes it look blue), a cyanotype soaked in tea, a Van Dyke Brown, and I will be making another Van Dyke Brown and putting water colors on it! My favorite so far is the cyanotype tea toned. Once I can scan it, then I will post it :D

This is part of my Wanderer series. I decided to edit differently from the beginning. Before I edited the pictures for my class and our focus was editing only in ACR, but I think that if I contribute to this series, I should edit it differently for the project than from school.

This series is about someone who has wandered off from her current life, trying to find another, better life. During her journey she becomes exhausted, stumbles into different paths, but still continues.
