Sometimes it’s just great to gather energy. Relaxing, without any obligations and expectations.

Convert your energy into believing, trusting, creating, growing, discovering, visualizing and manifesting.

If you open your mind for me

You won't rely on open eyes to see

The walls you built within

Come tumbling down and a new world will begin

Visualizing the trees making their way across this red carpet of leaves, gave rise to more imagery. While one tree is seen moving out of the frame, another takes center stage. This in turn is followed up by a pair just entering the area. A contingent of onlookers view the proceedings in the background, while others enjoy the light.

It is all in how you look at things, that helps create a final result. My narrative for this shot, tells me what to exclude, and what further supports the story. Plus a vivid imagination and thinking just a little off center.

When the light of day crosses with the evening dark, it is a moment of sheer magic. As an observer you are aware of a transition and can see the change that is occurring. It lasts for little more than an instant and for me, represents the passing of time. That instant that lies between the future and the past we term the present. Except that it is visualized through light.

The tree in the forefront caught my attention and how the light shone on one side giving it great dimension. It sits in that transition point where light and dark mingle and further represents the present. I do enjoy attempting to tell a story in my work, and this one is no exception.

When I saw this I wasn't sure what it was or what it represented as workers were finishing the installation. Since then I've learned that it represents data visualization it reflects the global impact of food production and consumption on the environment. Part of the "Around The Table" exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. I still don't understand it but it's nice to look at.

I'm still trying to find the sweet spot, where serenity and beauty intersect. I think I'm getting close.

Visualize yourself walking on the sand, listening to the water splash against the shore.

Visualize swimming, in the oceans, in the sky

Visualize sitting by a beach fire, warming up from the chilly air.

Visualize happiness that won't be suppressed, laughing.

It is the end of the day when the sun sets low, and the mood is sweet and peaceful.

When things get tough, I like to visualize a place where serenity reigns supreme. You can currently find me here.

Photographing some old cars and other items, I decided to make it a bit more of a challenge by shooting in B&W, and set my camera to display my pictures in B&W to help visualize what the monochrome images would look like. Taking the "distractions" of colour out of the capture can help to see the available light better.

I have seen this shot done a hundred times and wanted to give it a try. It was not as easy as it looks! Getting a ring to stand in a book and getting the right shadow is a bit tricky. I also wanted to find a page in the book that enhanced the image and I think I found one...:)

I had this picture in my head for about two weeks and waited for the right conditions.

This 1985 Blue Bird Wanderlodge is the perfect antique vehicle for a car/truck/train/bus/rv show. Just sit under the awning and relax with a cool beverage. Ahhhhh.

When I pulled into the parking lot (you can see a bit of it on the left), I saw this RV and knew I had to photograph it. As Ansel would say, I pre-visualized it, including the sepia.

Not a great picture, but *I* love it.

Parched Earth

Created with DDG Text 2 AI engine

In a barren landscape, visualize a figure with skin resembling parched earth, looking upwards as cracks on its surface reveal a vibrant oasis within. Inside this oasis, a smaller figure dances freely among lush greenery and flowing water, symbolizing the inner sanctuary of freedom and enlightenment. The stark background contrasts with the oasis's vibrancy, while the larger figure's hands gently cup around it, nurturing this inner world. Surrounding the smaller figure, life flourishes, representing the soul's growth once freed from mental constraints. The scene is rich in high-resolution textures, vivid greenery, detailed hand imagery, and dynamic lighting, emphasizing the beauty of the oasis.
