200 life-size Armistice Day soldier silhouette figures and 75 poppy wreaths were on display by the Column of Victory at Blenheim Palace. The installation is the work of Witney-based artist Dan Barton and are made from recycled building materials. The art installation is in memory of The Unknown Soldier for The Royal British Legion, paying respects to our fallen heroes this Remembrance Day.

Personal highlight of the trip - the view from Empire Fulton Ferry Park an evening after 4th of July's fireworks. Clouds held back the rays of setting sun, but the view was still charming
Iconic Brooklyn bridge and the downtown Manhattan. Next time I will take pictures from the bridge itself
One of the most beautiful bridge I have ever seen. Not even the grey overcast could have ruined the picture.
The "Moravian Pottery" in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, USA has the following short description: The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, a National Historic Landmark, is maintained as a "working history" museum by Pennsylvania's County of Bucks, Department of Parks and Recreation. Handmade tiles are still produced in a manner similar to that developed by the pottery's founder and builder, Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930). Mercer was a major proponent of the Arts & Crafts Movement in America. He directed the work at the pottery from 1898 until his death in 1930. Deep inside the Dubai Mall is one of the largest fish tanks in the world. If you've been to any of the famous aquariums in the United States, the Dubai Aquarium would feel a little bit small; however, you have to remind yourself that you are in a shopping mall
The exhibit has a rain forest, ocean aquarium and other attractions. There is a cost to get in, but frankly the large aquarium visible from the public areas of the mall is all you need to see. Grab an ice cream cone, head up to the second or third level and enjoy the people watching.

This delightful cafe in Drumbeg was a lovely, welcome oasis...
(As well as the coffee and scones) I really liked the sign that said:

The Mellette House was constructed in 1883 for the family of Arthur Mellette, who was governor of the Dakota Territory at the time. The house was built in the Italianate style and has only undergone minimal alterations since its construction. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

As a pastor, I don't get any time off during the holidays. Christmas involves extra time working! So, my wife and I try to sneak in small opportunities to spend time with family and to celebrate in non-traditional ways.
This week, Kid #2 and his girlfriend came for an overnight visit. And, Kid #3 happened to be home, as well, on break from college. We decided to tour Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, together.
Janice and I had been around the perimeter of the concrete building many times. But, we'd never seen the inside of the museum/partially working factory.
Hi there, my mommy made a website about me, and she wanted me to show it to you... she made it in English and in Dutch so all people would understand it. I don't know why, but if I show it nicely I get a cookie!!
Oh, almost forgot, if you want to take a look at my website it's bordercollies.fotoham.com, and you know, I'm only saying this because of the cookie she is holding... it's pure blackmail!
