Commandée par le roi Charles V et construite par l’horloger Henri de Vic, cette horloge orne la Tour nord-est du Palais de la Cité depuis 1370. Restaurée et remaniée maintes fois.
e cadran est entouré de deux figures allégoriques représentant la loi (à gauche) et la justice (à droite). Aussi, sous le petit toit qui abrite le cadran sont inscrites des initiales entrelacées : celles « H » et « C » pour Henri II et Catherine de Médicis, et celles « H » et « M » pour Henri IV et Marguerite de Valois (la reine Margot).

Le pont Louis-Philippe est situé à Paris, il relie la rive droite et l'île Saint-Louis.
C'est le 29 juillet 1833, pour fêter son accession au trône à l'issue des Trois Glorieuses, que Louis-Philippe pose la première pierre d'un pont suspendu d'abord anonyme, situé dans le prolongement de la rue du Pont-Louis-Philippe (qui vit le jour cette même année). Construit par Marc Seguin et ses frères, il traverse la Seine en biais jusqu'au quai aux Fleurs en passant par l'île Saint-Louis.
Pour faire face à l'accroissement de la circulation, il est détruit pour être remplacé par le pont actuel, en 1860. Celui-ci est construit par les ingénieurs Edmond-Jules Féline-Romany et Jules Savarin entre août 1860 et avril 1862, un peu plus en amont que le précédent ouvrage. Cette fois, il traverse la Seine perpendiculairement, sur toute sa largeur.

The Louis-Philippe bridge is located in Paris, it connects the right bank and the Saint-Louis island.
It was on July 29, 1833, to celebrate his accession to the throne at the end of the Trois Glorieuses, that Louis-Philippe laid the first stone of an initially anonymous suspension bridge, located in the extension of the rue du Pont- Louis-Philippe (who was born that same year). Built by Marc Seguin and his brothers, it crosses the Seine at an angle to the Quai aux Fleurs via Île Saint-Louis.
To cope with the increase in traffic, it was destroyed to be replaced by the current bridge in 1860. This was built by engineers Edmond-Jules Féline-Romany and Jules Savarin between August 1860 and April 1862, a slightly further upstream than the previous work. This time, it crosses the Seine perpendicularly, over its entire width.

Conçu par l’architecte Charles Garnier en 1875, le Palais Garnier abrite une salle de spectacle prestigieuse et des espaces publics (grand foyer, rotonde des abonnés, salons), une bibliothèque-musée ainsi que plusieurs studios de répétition et des ateliers.
La salle de spectacle « à l’italienne », dont le plafond a été peint par Marc Chagall en 1964, peut accueillir 2054 spectateurs. Avec près de 480 000 visiteurs par an, c’est un des monuments les plus visités de Paris. Il est classé monument historique depuis 1923.
Designed by architect Charles Garnier in 1875, the Palais Garnier houses a prestigious performance hall and public spaces (grand foyer, rotunda of subscribers, salons), a library-museum as well as several rehearsal studios and workshops.
The "Italian" performance hall, whose ceiling was painted by Marc Chagall in 1964, can accommodate 2,054 spectators. With nearly 480,000 visitors a year, it is one of the most visited monuments in Paris. It has been classified as a historic monument since 1923.

Église Saint-Séverin. One of the less visited. but to me one of the most beautiful churches in Paris, wish I had more time to spend few hrs. as the sun changes reflects though such mesmerizing stained glass art. Spent more time just in awe at this medieval house of our lord.

Bibliothèque des arts décoratifs
Fondée en 1864, la Bibliothèque présente des collections de livres imprimés, catalogues d’expositions et de vente, périodiques... dans les domaines des arts décoratifs et de l’art, ainsi que la célèbre collection Maciet regroupant des milliers de gravures et de photographies originales. Ces fonds, qui n’ont cessé de s’accroître au fil du temps, comptent aujourd’hui 200.000 volumes imprimés. La bibliothèque abrite aussi des fonds d’archives institutionnelles et privées.
Founded in 1864, the Library presents collections of printed books, exhibition and sales catalogs, periodicals ... in the fields of decorative arts and art, as well as the famous Maciet collection bringing together thousands of engravings and prints. original photographs. Cétait un petit matin, comme les autres à Paris, avec un ciel encore cotonneux, chacun vaquer à ses occupations, rue de rivoli, avec une volupte de fumée qui donnait une atmosphère du Paris d'antan, je partais faire un shooting, et instinctivement j'ai pris cette photo, je savais déjà que je m'orienterai vers le noir et blanc.
Procédé utilisé, le sténopé : l'objectif est remplacé par une surface opaque percée d'un petit trou qui laisse passer la lumière. Le temps de pose devient très long et la profondeur de champ très grande.

It was early morning, like the others in Paris, with a still cottony sky, everyone going about their business, rue de rivoli, with a volupte of smoke that gave an atmosphere of the Paris of yesteryear, I was off to shoot, and instinctively I took this photo, I already knew that I would go for black and white.
Process used, the pinhole: the lens is replaced by an opaque surface pierced with a small hole that lets light through. The exposure time becomes very long and the depth of field very large.
