Gestern Abend noch bei den Winterlichtern im Luisenpark Mannheim vorbeigeschaut. War sehr ruhig und angenehm dort. Das lag unter anderem daran, das unser Sohnemann schon bei der Hinfahrt eingeschlafen ist... ;-)

Built in 1157, Burg Eltz is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River, Germany. I had the amazing experience to wonder throught the moonlit forest before sunrise, to get this authentic castle on camera. It is amazing that it's still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate which have never been destroyed.

Once again, I was at the Saarschleife for sunrise.

Das Saarpolygon ist ein Denkmal auf einer Bergehalde. Es soll an Jahrzehnte von Kohle und Stahl geprägter Industrie im Saarland erinnern. Es ist eine riesige, kilometerweit sichtbare Landmarke.

Monument, build on a mine dump to remember decades of coal mining and steelworking in this region of Germany (Saarland). The sculpture is called "Saarpolygon". It' s a huge landmark visible from miles away.
