Until 1st November 1855 Segenhoe Church was the parish church of the Bedfordshire village of Ridgmont. Now a roofless ruin it lies someway South of Ridgmont and just East of the village of Eversholt. The old church provides some great opportunities for the photographer as it can be easily photographed from any aspect.

The unforgiving landscape of rock, moorland, mountain, and flood which defines the Isle of Lewis and Harris.
A visit to the forest was very much needed to stretch my legs for an hour. I walked around just as the mist was lifting! But! Just Imagine how it could have looked if I had got there earlier ...And it was really misty!

You can't change anything without causing some degree of disruption. It's impossible, that is exactly what change is. Some people are uncomfortable with the disruption that change causes, but the disruption is necessary if anything is going to change.`(Afeni Shakur)

Valtos (from the Old Norse 'Vald Hus' meaning 'house of one in power') is a large and well-populated village on the Valtos peninsula in the parish of Uig, on the south west coast of Lewis. With a large and well used pier, it was, and still is a safe harbour from the unpredictable Atlantic swell off the coastline. The stunning views from the pier extend to a number of offshore islands and skerries.
With its picturesque boats and horseshoe curved shoreline, Valtos pier is a natural draw (no pun intended) for artists and photographers alike.
A Wintery Morning
A cold drive around and up over Talla Reservoir to see what the conditions were like, no cars so the roads were a bit wintery:) this is a view from above the reservoir looking at Talla Water which flows down into the reservoir. I really liked the dusting of snow on the foreground rocks and just the little bit of colour in the sky.

Happy New Year
I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hoping that 2018 is a very good year for everyone.
My first image of the year is the classic view from Glen Coe looking down the River Coe towards the 3 sisters and using the much photographed tree. Again with the really nice conditions I couldn't resist stopping and making the shot.
