One of my favorite spots. Every Evening is unique. I love the depth and lines of the piers. Tonight it was the also the lines of color on the water and above. My Visionary Light. This area was just ravaged by hurricane ian...this is the light...and vision strong.

The Schmela Haus, built in 1971 by the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck for the influential art dealer Alfred Schmela in Düsseldorf’s historic district, has belonged to the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen since 2009. Situated between the K20 and the K21, this concrete modernist building – the first in Germany to combine gallery and residential spaces, and today under landmarks protection – functions as the museum’s third branch. Beginning in autumn of 2013, inspired by its visionary architecture and communicative potential, the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen has used the building as an events and guest house under the banner of Futur 3.

The Nederlander Theater has had many names since opening in 1921, originally the National Theater, then the Billy Rose Theater and before its current name the Trafalger Theater. Nederland is one of the two big dogs in New York City’s Broadway Theatre business, the other being Schubert. Unbeknownst to many Nederlander first venture in entertainment was actually in Detroit Michigan, a 99 year lease on the Detroit Opera House was purchased by young bright businessman David T. Nederlander in 1912.
