For Macro Monday's vintage theme.
In case you were wondering what this is, this is the edge of Suzy Quatro's 1979 album Can the Can. I didn't realise how much dust gathers on a record that you can't see! No wonder they sounded scratchy. Well, that and a million plays ;) Those are the individual tracks on the record that you can see the dust is gathering on.
This was taken using a 60mm macro on a M4/3 camera which gives 2:1 magnification, then added a Raynox 250 on top which, if my math is correct, and they usually aren't, gives 5:1 magnification.
And as for Suzi, well she was one of my first crushes. Was lucky enough to see her at The Red Hot Summer Tour in 2019 and she still rocks! That album brings back memories, 17 years old, surfing, over to the hamburger shop across from the beach at lunchtime for potato scallops drowned in vinegar, playing pinball and listening to Suzi blast on the jukebox. I have a jukebox that plays vinyl, not quite authentic because it also plays CD's, USB & Bluetooth ;) I can feel some Suzi coming on this afternoon, if I can clean that dust off!

I placed a coil of vinyl tubing I bought for another project near where I had left everything set up from the session for last weekend's Macro Mondays theme. To fulfill this week's requirements, I didn't have to look far.
vinyl found on the street, with scratches, but good enough for my idea to draw or paint on it. And I decorated the hole in the middle with a cut glass stone.
