Outside cities you'll often find some remains of the past. These trees are more than hundred years old. Still standing there, allthough the farm they led to is gone.
Todays assignment was: "Take color out of the equation and make a monochromatic photograph today"

My version of Knitty's Vinter Lue hat.
The main color is Lamb's Pride Bulky 85% Wool / 15% Mohair in Wild Violet. The Contrasting color is a 100% merino handspun yarn from Midnight & Lulu.
I debated making this hat because I only had 86 yards of the main color and the pattern calls for over 100, but I finished it with several yards left. Good times!
a little spam-o-rama before she goes back in her box until Dec. 25. I sure hope my husband loves his Christmas Dolly! Muahahahahaha! (kidding!! :D)

Very Vicky (a lovely gift from my friend) and Vinter Arden (a lovely gift from myself, for myself). Neither are named as of yet.
Both of these girls had terrible hair coming out of the box. I fixed VV's but VA's is still a total nest of tangles and I'm scared to even look back there...!!
