Winters in Amsterdam are usually gloomy and wet. Not these days in January. I had a great time these days...

Vinterlys: Vinterlys is Danish for "winter light." The title of this self-portrait, written in Danish, is meant to encourage Europe, given that President Donald Trump has set his sights on Greenland, intending to incorporate it into the United States of America. Greenland belongs to Denmark and should remain so. Trump's threatening language, but he truly intends to take this country away. Whatever the cost.
Park Frankendael: Frankendael in Watergraafsmeer is the only remaining country house in Amsterdam.
Watergraafsmeer was dried in 1629. During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries were forty homesteads and country estates built, which still exists. It is unknown when the house Frankendael was built, but the year 1733 is mentioned.
When in 1998 the Town Nursery was lifted, started the construction of Frankendael park.
