Three new VinFast electric vehicles—two in vibrant red and one in crisp white—are lined up inside a modern, brightly lit showroom. The cars are decorated with festive flower arrangements and balloon bouquets, marking a special delivery or handover event beneath the large VinFast logo on the back wall.

VinFast is Vietnam's first carmaker. Its first products debuted at the Paris Motor Show: the Lux A2.0 sedan and Lux SA2.0 SUV. They are based on the previous generation BMW 5 Series and X5 respectively.
A first glimpse of some VinFast models in the (yet to be opened) showroom of the brand in Rotterdam. The VF 8 is a mid-size electric SUV introduced in Vietnam in 2022. It's the first model VinFast will be selling here.

Two sleek, silver VinFast electric SUVs are parked along a paved street in a residential or commercial area. Both vehicles display yellow license plates, with the lead car clearly showing the plate number 69H-013.49. The background features lush green trees and local structures with makeshift awnings, characteristic of a bustling Vietnamese neighborhood.

Seen in Vietnam 2023 - It's a GM product offered as Opel Karl, Vauxhall Viva and Chevrolet Spark on other markets and replaces the Opel Karl Rocks version built for the vietnamese market. Assembly is conducted at VinFast in Hải Phòng / Vietnam. This was the best selling car over there in 2021.
Despite the very low sales of its first model VinFast planned a second electric car for sale here. It's the VF6, introduced in Vitenam in 2024. Only 6 have been registered here before VinFast announced the closure of its stores. Maybe these cars will be sold by dealerships in the future.
This interesting electric powered SUV was parked outside the Axis pub. A rather handsome offshore offering in attractive green paint.
Vinfast is yet another new electric car brand in the Netherlands. Founded in 2017 Vinfast is the automotive division of the Vietnamese Vingroup. This is the (not yet opened) showroom of the brand in Rotterdam.

The first VinFast I've seen on the road. But not in the wild as this one is in front of the VinFast showroom in Amsterdam. So far only 27 VinFasts have been registered in the Netherlands. The VF 8 is the first model here, a mid-size electric SUV introduced in Vietnam in 2022.

Brand new SUV from Vietnamese manufacturer Vinfast, itself part of the Vingroup private consortium (one of the largest in Vietnam).
Scheduled for production in the second half of 2019, the Lux SA 2.0 is based on the third generation of the BMW X5 (the F15, 2013 - 2018). One can clearly see the profile of the X5, though Vinfast has done a great job in concealing the identify of the donor car. Inside, it looks like the Lux SA carries on the BMW theme with quality materials and a driver oriented cockpit. A decent first time effort.
On exhibit at the Mondial de l'Auto 2018 in Paris.
