Die katholische Heilig-Geist-Kirche befindet sich im Tal direkt neben dem Viktualienmarkt. 1392 von Gabriel Ridler vollendet zählt sie zu den ältesten noch erhaltenen Kirchengebäuden Münchens.
Auf dem Viktualienmarkt werden auf einer Gesamtfläche von 22.000 qm von 140 Händlern Blumen, exotische Früchte, Wild, Geflügel, Gewürze, Käse, Fisch, Säfte und vieles mehr angeboten

Der Viktualienmarkt ist ein ständiger Markt für Lebensmittel (veraltet auch Viktualien) in der Altstadt von München. Er findet seit 1807 täglich, außer an Sonn- und Feiertagen, statt. Das Erscheinungsbild des über zwei Hektar großen Geländes wird durch fest errichtete Buden mit zum Teil großen Auslagen geprägt.

Convertido en mercado de producto selecto, los más de 100 puestos de Viktualienmarkt ofrecen una completa gama de productos. Desde flores, frutas exóticas o toda clase de verduras, a quesos, salchichas, carnes o pescado. También especias, té, zumos y otras viandas
Ocupando una superficie de 22 000 metros cuadrados en pleno centro de la ciudad, Viktualienmarkt nacía como tal a principios del siglo XIX, al decretar Maximiliano I de Baviera en 1807 el traslado del mercado local desde la cercana Marienplatz, anteriormente conocida como plaza del Mercado.
