"Not just a scooter, a way of life"
When I was a little boy some sixty years ago, I used to stand between my father's knees while travelling by Vespa. When my mother was with us, I used to sit between them. I liked both versions very much.
I took this picture in my hometown Augsburg two years ago.
The 'Vespa velutina' is an invasive species from Asia, specifically from the north of India and China, which in addition to feeding on other insects that inhabit the fields, as is common in the species, also feeds on bees, whose meat is used to feed the larvae. They also eat my camellias ...

The European hornet (Vespa crabro) is the largest eusocial wasp native to Europe. It is also the only true hornet (genus Vespa) found in North America, having been introduced by European settlers in the 1800s.[1][2] Vespines, such as V. crabro, are known for making intricate paper-like nests out of surrounding plant materials and other fibers...This species stings in response to being stepped on or grabbed, but generally avoids conflict. It is also defensive of its nest and can be aggressive around food sources. Care should be taken when they are found in these circumstances, as they may sting without warning. European hornets are largely carnivorous and hunt large insects such as beetles, wasps, large moths, dragonflies, and mantises. They also feed on fallen fruit and other sources of sugary food

Promt: Creating a detailed, highly realistic digital artwork of a Vespa rider on a red Vespa with a sidecar. A Boston Terrier sits in the sidecar. Both the rider, a 70-year-old man with short gray hair and a short beard, and the Boston Terrier wear sturdy denim vests, classic brown leather helmets, and goggles. They have determined expressions, while the Boston Terrier appears alert and waves. The Vespa is old but robust, with red paint and worn tires on the rough asphalt
These are Vespas parked behind a Vespa repair shop. I was in heaven...I wanted to create a "Frankenstein" type Vespa from all the available parts.

Vespa is an Italian luxury brand of scooters and mopeds manufactured by Piaggio. The name means wasp in Italian. The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter manufactured in 1946 by Piaggio & Co. S.p.A. of Pontedera, Italy to a full line of scooters and one of seven companies today owned by Piaggio.
From their inception, Vespa scooters have been known for their painted, pressed steel unibody which combines, in a unified structural unit, a complete cowling for the engine (enclosing the engine mechanism and concealing dirt or grease), a flat floorboard (providing foot protection), and a prominent front fairing (providing wind protection).
